On the face of it, this is true.

Not so true when there is already an established case of cruelty to one’s own child.

Trunk diaper changes were completely normal for me. I have a SUV with a liftgate and lots of room, but I've changed a few diapers in the backseat of a car before. I don't think that part of the story is unbelievable.

Everything else about the story sounds sus. Yucaipa is a pretty chill town too.

I think she used the mouthguard as an excuse, because any other sports equipment could be borrowed for a practice.

I think the short sentences is because then they didn’t have to prove anything in court or even go to court and this was the please guilty agreement. I don’t feel it’s because they didn’t know which one. I think they had evidence to charge mom.

I wondered if the reason that the mother pleaded guilty was because they offered them a shorter sentence to do so and she couldn't count on being exonerated in court. I mean maybe she had a hand in it too, but if she didn't I can see how she might have just taken the guilty plea for a guaranteed lesser sentence.

I’ve seen many comments wondering whether or not English is the mother’s first language.

I did not get to see the initial news when the mother was verbally describing what she claimed had happened to Emmanuel.

Did she have an accent? If she didn’t then I presume English is not a second language for her.


I don’t have a problem with her saying “hit the floor” rather than “hit the ground,” as I’ve heard those used interchangeably.

The problem of course is that the story is berserk and the family has a history of child abuse. I, too, cannot begin to fathom why the husband was allowed to be in that home with these tormented children.

Culminating with the youngest one no longer being around.

RH speaking, at first I thought she spoke English as a 2nd language then at the end I wasn't so sure.
If I had to choose I would say yes.

I was just watching this video. The reporter says toward the end that they asked the grandmother if anyone saw him at the park on Thursday and she responded that the mother never takes him out of the car because he hasn't had his vaccinations. Which sounds to me like a big fat "no."

Ok so here starting at 2:26 - Grandma said that Emmanuel wasn't at the ball game as "he wasn't vaccinated" (they don't take him out of the car by all accounts)
I'm in the UK but a quick Google says there's a bunch of vaccinations from birth to 6 months that babies have. I'm sure if they're just the sorta anti vax parents then they wouldn't care if he wasn't vaccinated and just took him anyways? So that to me says that Emmanuel hasn't seen a doctor in god knows how long!! If they wouldn't take him to a game because of no vax, did they ever take him anywhere?!
The poor little lad. It's very clear to see from the (terrible) pictures that there's something medically/physically going on with him, although the early baby pics look like a standard baby.
How long was he being abused for and not taken to the doctors?! I'm buying more and more into the shaken baby syndrome for the visible issues we see in the pictures of him and he hasn't been taken to the doctor's because of prolonged abuse

In his first abuse case with the other baby mama, they were both convicted. His work release sentence was 180 days, hers 120. The other charges were identical.

He pointed the finger at her, though it didn't say so in the MSM story - I'm sure she did likewise. So I think what you're saying rings true IMO.

Catching up on the thread now so I apologize if this has been said before, but my theory currently is that dad did *it*, mom found out, he assaulted her and coerced her to lie and cover up for him. JMO
Maybe the mother is more complicit in the abuse, but what’s for certain is the father having history and pattern of child abuse. I would even argue to say that refusing to take a 7 month old for vaccinations is child abuse in itself… I agree with those who think he has shaken baby syndrome and that’s why they didn’t take him to the doctor.
Just my thoughts, but I don’t see a happy ending for baby Emmanuel sadly

Does anyone know when they arrived at the field and who all arrived ? Was she there for a while before going to get the mouthguard?
I assumed she must dropped them off and left right away without going on the field since he needed the mouthguard for his practise , so no surprise noone saw the baby,

I don't know when they arrived but she went to the store around 7:30 pm which strikes me as late for a football practice.

It it *possible* she didn't know about his history.

He was on parole or probation so that seems unlikely he could hide that plus he violated last year so that had to be an event he had to explain. He has a hearing for that in two weeks and there's a good chance he may go back to prison. He has a lawyer who represents him for that case and just did an interview so she has to have known for over a year at the very least.

The fact that the grandmother says she keeps the baby in the car because the baby was unvaccinated makes me think of a few things:

Grandma may not have seen the baby in a while.

The baby has not been to the doctor as he should have been. Which makes me think the poor baby was abused a lot.

This whole case reminds me so much of the West boys. I want to say this happened in the same area of California but maybe a different county. The parents got rid of the 2 little boys in the trash and pretended they were still alive for several months. They gaslighted grandma into thinking they were in the car on a visit. Right before Christmas, they called the police and said the boys had been kidnapped from their backyard. They did an interview with local news that sounded fake with zero tears.

Oh no, that’s an awful lot of sandy places to dump a tiny body. Completely surrounding their home—-they could have done it nearly instantly.

I’m sure LE has been searching the grounds. If Emmanuel is dead and buried out there somewhere, it’s too late for a heat-seeking device. I suppose they’d go to canines?

I so hope to be wrong and maybe they gave the baby to someone who wanted him? But I truly do not believe that to be the case.
