It looks like what my G-ma used to do, I think it helped her understand better?? not all the time either, usually when conversation was more lively or intense.

i worked in the medical field for yrs and saw a number of older adults do this type of silent mimicking when 'listening'. there are a variety of reasons for it including hearing loss, comprehension, medications... a combination of things. it's often a bit unsettling to watch.

makes sense, she had hearing aids, but it never unsettled me, it was just her, different when you know someone maybe?
Do you think being nervous is related?, sounds like there was a whole lot of anxiety in that family.

i think it's just a bit unsettling for strangers to see. i really don't know if anxiety is also part of same thing or not... i have no medical degree and i don't even know if that's what the grandmother was doing in this case. but, i totally agree... there's a great deal of nervousness going on with these people.

just thought i'd add... there can be serious underlying medical causes for this mimicking. something a physician could determine.

We got some leverage as well . Knox.

They called us nosey , they said we crazy . We kinda are on point , often ,when we are not lazy!

You did it once then you did it twice and then a third time. .. you should just be sent away forever. People that hurt children should die a horrible death. I can’t believe I’m hearing he keeps hurting so many babies. Death or Life in prison for hurting babies!!

i doubt the child abuser provides any financial assistance towards the care of his victim since release... it's all taxpayer funded. he should never have been given the opportunity to be around any child... much less father more.

My husband does this when I talk. It just started a few years ago. He is 70. I’ve told him he does it annd he is embarrassed. It doesn’t happen as often now, but now he tries to finish my sentences for me. Always incorrectly lol

She’s DV from all of my training. I know those investigators know. That poor baby looks abused. We all know!

I feel bad for her but I feel worse for Emmanuel and all other children the father has been around. They deserve safety. They deserve justice. She could help with that.

"While Emmanuel’s father has retained an attorney, if the parents choose to work with detectives, we welcome their cooperation as we continue efforts to locate Emmanuel."

Translation: the parents are currently not cooperating with LE to locate their allegedly kidnapped baby. 🤔
Bingo! I like how they phrased that. They’re not subtle with their updates lol.

I'm just not able to stir up any sympathy for RH. She had to know about JH's background when she became involved with him. Even so, she married him and had two children with him. I realize that she may be a DV victim who was fearful to tell the truth, but I think most mothers would put the safety of their child(ren) before their personal fears.

This is assuming that the truth is what we believe it to be. I get the feeling that the opinion of many here is that JH is solely responsible for the physical harm of baby E. That is easy to assume, because of his despicable violence against his 10-week-old daughter. But, we truly don't know if he is the only one guilty of harming baby E. I'm completely open to the possibility that RH might also be complicit in E's harm, not just in the coverup. I hope not. I hope that, miraculously, baby E is somewhere safe. I always try to hold out hope, but this time it is hard to do. Looking at pictures of the baby, it seems obvious that he has suffered. With the few facts that are known to us, I just think we should be open to all possibilities of who is responsible.

I only opinionate that RH is a victim of domesticate violence. I do think that if the abuse to her is severe enough that she will cover for the perjurer of the violence. Even if it includes her children. In this case I feel it is the case. I think she is covering for a despicable human that has on multiple instances maimed children and has somehow gotten away with it in the past. I hope this is his last instance of harming children. I hope we can all bring his disgusting behavior to light through this avocation and our judicial law will somehow stop this piece of work from procreating and throw him in jail for good! Jmo

The daughter who is seven now - is blind, has a trach tube, only 3% brain function and is completely ambulatory. His other child, the older brother has FAS.

The cousin and her husband who are raising them are amazing people! Word in the street is - this is where the two year old is also, JMO.
