Even if you are not from this area or have not traversed any of the rocky backroads that go to the mines, all you have to do is read the descriptions posted by numerous people who have written about what a hard trip this is to make: EVEN WITH A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE vehicle! You have to watch for mines so that you don't have to drive into one, you have to watch for rocks and ruts, etc. It's not like you are driving 60, 50, or even 20 MPH. Many times you are crawling along! Why would anyone doubt what the experts (the searchers who have actually been to the area and down in the mines) have said?

Very well said. Thank you

Absolutely agree. I am sticking with the experts on this one!

Now gee. Why do you want to rain on my excitement parade!? :jail:

I'm still holding out for real "notable" and not just that she showed up or is wearing a pinterest outfit or hairstyle!

Haha! Sorry! Of course the pinterest idea seems a lot more probable :loveyou:

Whatever the case may be, that isn't enough to prove that Erin thought she was going to the place where she was eventually found. And she thought Chris wanted to go hunting. What's he gonna hunt out there, a tumbleweed?

Erin said a Dr. confirmed she was pregnant two weeks before she went missing (quoting news article linked below). The State has not mentioned this at trial yet. No records to confirm the pregnancy? Decomp too advanced to confirm in the autopsy?

Yes decomposition was too far advanced to determine pregnancy via autopsy and there was something about they would not accept medical records or something like that. Maybe Mrs. Heavilin can confirm those later or someone has better memory than I.

This case is absolutely heartbreaking. :heartbeat: I cannot imagine the pain that Lore is going through as she listens to how her daughters last day on earth ended :crying: then thrown down ...I can't even type the rest

NO ONE said that the mine being 2 hours away was going to be enough to prove anything. Just showing that the mine is, indeed, 2 hours away.

And as far as hunting out there: A LOT. There are a LOT of animals that live and survive in the desert in that/this area. He couldn't hunt within the borders of the National Park (not even sure he could have legally hunted where the mines are located since I believe it's BLM land.) But what or where he could hunt is irrelevant, really, if Erin wasn't aware of where hunting is and isn't legal. He lied about everything else AND he obviously had no intentions of hunting anything but that poor girl!.
