The police detective said the tracks he thought matched the jeep didnt but the Crime Scene Specialist yesterday stated that they did find tracks that matched the jeep by Erin's car. I assume the first witness admitted to mistaking a certain set of tracks as the Jeep's on cross examination. I hope Mr. Nelson is able to clarify.

"He testified about the footprints that were seen leaving the driver's side of Erin's car, and towards another vehicle. Hurtado originally believed the tire tracks of that vehicle matched Chris Lee's jeep, but further investigation revealed they did not." (taken from blog)

"Susan Jaquez, a crime scene specialist for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, also said a set of tire tracks found near where Corwin’s Toyota Corolla was located matched that of Lee’s Jeep." Thank you Kimi. Short on time at the moment, no time to re-read. Who said the tracks did not match the jeep?

It was in Day 4 blog post by Beth

The final witness of the day was Sgt. Mauricio Hurtado with the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department. Back in 2014 he was a detective on the same four-man homicide detail team as Detectives Woods and Zierdt. Hurtado described how CSI specialists processed the scene surrounding Erin Corwin's abandoned car. He testified about the footprints that were seen leaving the driver's side of Erin's car, and towards another vehicle. Hurtado originally believed the tire tracks of that vehicle matched Chris Lee's jeep, but further investigation revealed they did not.

It somehow escaped me the garrote was found in a vehicle that did not come from California. So this garotte was recently put in the vehicle. And Nichole isn't worried? Or is it Christopher who should have been?

Garrote found on Erin's body was made with rebar. The one found in the suburban he was driving in Alaska, made from PVC pipe. What are the odds ...

IKR...At first I thought it was a vehicle they had in Cali, and I wondered if someone could have placed it there to frame him, since it was so stupid to leave it there in the car.

But I am not sure that could have happened if it was always up North in Alaska.

I just have to say that anyone attempting to use logic to explain this monster's actions (or explain away his actions) is going to be fighting an uphill battle. He spoke often about killing people, how to dispose of dead bodies, made lists of items needed to carry out said murder, and drove around with a handmade garrote underneath the seat of his car. He is a psychopath. Plain and simple. I hope he rots in jail.

If anyone pushed him to murder Erin I am confident he didn't need much pushing. Sounds to me like he had been fantasizing about killing someone for a long time before he set his sights on Erin.

God rest her sweet, sweet soul.

Oh how I wish there was a camera in that courtroom!!! I'm grateful for the tweets and blog, but this pace is a little frustrating.
