Remember poor Summer Inman her husband and mother and father in law put her in the church septic tank.

I just went a read about it briefly. Devastating for those children. I was in tears reading about those children without their mother. Doubtful the police would have found her body if her MIL didn't lead them to it. Doesn't sound like anyone is going to be leading LE to Erin's body unfortunately. LE have pretty much said that no one will be arrested until they find her. So while everyone hopes she will be found, one person is hoping they never do as that will more than likely be the difference between (possibly) life in prison or them walking free.

So he was home when Erin left, but yet there isn't even a general description of what Erin was wearing, like was she wearing a skirt, a dress, jeans, shorts, t-shirt, top, tennis shoes, sandals, something like that. I mean I do understand if he can't remember the exact floral pattern or exact color, but I would think he would at least know if she was wearing a dress or skirt or shorts or pants/capris. I mean, were her legs showing? If so, that would eliminate longer pants, ya know. Did she have her glasses? Did she usually wear her glasses or contacts?
IMOO.
ETA:
Maybe all that does not matter since there aren't flyers put up, that I read, so I take it, they aren't looking for an alive Erin, in my opinion.

I admit, I've missed a lot but I'm trying to catch up. As far as what she was wearing do we know if JC couldn't tell the police or is it that the police haven't released the info? Seems like the LE are keeping a lot of info close to the vest in this investigation.

JMO of course

That's not a reason to stop us from posting or even speculating on a case, nor is libel. Tricia and her lawyers will let us know what we can and can't post on WS.
In fact, I am a family member on a case here, I'm glad when posters post on his case, any attention is good attention for him.

Let's nip this in the bud real quick. Someone posted the initials of a person and seemed to suggest that the person might be involved in Erin's disappearance. The post was removed. The person wondered why. I told them my theory as to why it was removed. End of story.

Thanks. I am having a hard time keeping track of the rumors. Some WS posters were pointing to some guy posting on FB, but that guy wasn't even married. I feel really bad for someone who is in no way involved whose name gets thrown around like this, particularly if he is close to the victim/family :(

BBM: Because it is rumor and speculation the mods have deleted those posts. I think there were a few members that weren't exactly clear on the TOS, but I think they are now. Also, I didn't see any posts with an actual name posted.

Do you mind me asking how you're related to Mark? TIA

I think they would be less worried that people would think he was guilty, and more worried that someone might tamper with evidence to protect someone else/themselves?

Or be able to explain away why his DNA may have been found nearby. Unless I am wrong, it appears LE isn't involving the military in the search for a reason. I believe that reason is because they believe someone from the local military in that area is involved.

LE had not stated one way or another.

Missing Marine wife Erin Corwin is 20 today
Elizabeth Nelson, PalmSprings 10:06 a.m. PDT July 15, 2014

Erin Corwin is 20 years old today.

Corwin has been missing from her home at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms since June 28. So far, a massive search covering at least 200 square miles of treacherous high desert terrain has turned up no clues about where she went and why she hasn't been in touch.

Corwin's husband, Lance Cpl. Jonathan Corwin, reported her missing on June 29, 24 hours after he says he last saw her leave the couple's house, get in her car and drive in the direction of Joshua Tree National Park. She was heading to the desert preserve, said her husband, to scout locations for picture-taking during an upcoming visit from her mom. According to police, Corwin's disappearance is "not voluntary."

Why PJ's? If she's going to scope out the desert at 7a.m., I'd be dressed for it, and by that I don't mean wearing a dress.

I think the implication is the scouting story may be a lie and she could have been killed at home in her sleeping clothes.

Most or all of the MSM articles state the Erin's husband last saw her around 7 am on Saturday. I would like to know of the last person to see her (when, where, etc.) besides her husband.

Given the terrain, the size of the search area, the mines, etc., it's difficult to imagine they'll find her without cadaver dogs. The article below is about a dog that tracked a murder suspect across Madison:
http://host.madison.com/news/local/...cle_2873665a-c56e-11e1-af54-0019bb2963f4.html

Amazing, and cadaver dogs have an easier time because decomposition is generally easier to detect than a living person's scent. It seems to me a waste of effort to explore caves without a hit from a cadaver dog. From everything I've read, if she is in a cave, even if she's buried there, cadaver dogs would likely be able to detect her from the surface. If they're not calling in as many cadaver dogs as possible they're missing an opportunity that may be gone as dessication and decomposition continue.

These peeps are searching for Erin. There's sample pics of searches on the website that show searchers using dogs.

I thought my post went through but apparently not. Ugh. Anyway, I was wondering why it even came up that the baby was that of the other man. How do they know? They seem to know for sure that it's not the husbands. Weird.

I have a group on facebook for Erin and I can't tell you how many times I have had to ask people to stop spreading rumors. I get random PM from people with information about the case that has become annoying because it's "he said she said".

Speculation for or against a certain person as POI involved in EC's disappearance is just speculation until LE says it. We cant determine from here who did what or who was likely or not to do it. This could be a walk away spouse, a crime of jealousy and passion, a crime of betrayal and anger.....
A loving jealous spouse can be just as dangerous as a lover who might be trapped by a pregnancy. JMO

The good news is that it was a helicopter pilot who found MH and they are utilizing helicopters in the search for Erin. Hopefully they will have some success with her search, as well.

Except that MH was missing due to an accident situation. Where, because of Erin's car, an accident is unlikely the reason she's missing. She's more than likely to be hidden somewhere.
I agree with the poster who pointed out that the dogs have the best shot of finding her.

Exactly. I asked that before. Someone is assuming Erin wasn't having relations with her husband then.
How would anyone know that?

I must have missed something. Where was a hotel drain mentioned? Did I miss an article or was it just a speculation from someone? Thanks!

It think it's along the lines of that mysterious party that may or may not have happened and Erin may or may not have been at. (in other words, rumor - I believe it was on the FB page or under an article)

<snipped for space>
Also, I was reading through the comments on that article and a few people stated that this very article DID include something about the affair but was quickly edited to remove it shortly after it was put on the site.

Is it in the print version, I wonder? I'll have to check it out next time I'm in the grocery checkout line. I think the new print ones come out on Thursdays or Fridays.
