Is LE ordering people not to search? I don't see how that would be possible. Or are they just not asking public for help?

To be honest, I am not even sure that a big organization like TES for instance, would come in even if asked, if LE does not have a reasonable idea and search area to be examined. Not sure how much land this park entails, but I imagine it must be many thousands of square miles?

Erin's mother specifically asked Bill Garcia's team NOT to search after they arrived and were ready to do so. She said something to the effect of, "Law enforcement has it under control."

This is what the family's Locate Erin page on Facebook said July 20th: Crews are out again this weekend searching for Erin. We are hoping that the weather is not too intense so that they can search throughout the entire day. At this time, the sheriff's department is still not accepting any volunteers to aid in the search. If the search is opened up to the public, we will post so that anyone interested can assist. We are seeing a lot of comments and frustration about the lack of information being given to the public regarding this case. The lack of information given to the public is not uncommon while any investigation of this kind is taking place and we continue to ask for followers of this page to understand and respect that fact. Thank you all for your continued support!

I will admit that it irritates me when people, with the limited information we have about what is happening, assume LE are incompetent. However, in this case, I would find it particularly difficult to say that when her family clearly have a lot of faith in them. I think "we are continuing to only ask for assistance in the investigation into Erin's disappearance from local law enforcement. They are working ceaselessly to find Erin and have brought in others they believe are best qualified to assist in the investigation and search" and "we ask that everyone continue to respect our wishes that the ongoing, active investigation that the Sheriff's Department is leading be left undisturbed by the public's interference." are pretty unambiguous statements. I would think if they are not satisfied with the searches and investigation, they would be asking for outside help rather than actively discouraging it. JMO

I do not think law enforcement is incompetent, either. I hope that isn't the case and I don't believe it is. I am growing doubtful that the truth will come out about this case, and I believe there are people who do not want the truth to come out.

CL's court date is coming up quickly and I am hopeful that forensics will prove useful upon his return. Just curious who you think (other than the killer, obviously) would not want the truth to come out?
