Is LE ordering people not to search? I don't see how that would be possible. Or are they just not asking public for help?
To be honest, I am not even sure that a big organization like TES for instance, would come in even if asked, if LE does not have a reasonable idea and search area to be examined. Not sure how much land this park entails, but I imagine it must be many thousands of square miles?
Erin's mother specifically asked Bill Garcia's team NOT to search after they arrived and were ready to do so. She said something to the effect of, "Law enforcement has it under control."
This is what the family's Locate Erin page on Facebook said July 20th: Crews are out again this weekend searching for Erin. We are hoping that the weather is not too intense so that they can search throughout the entire day. At this time, the sheriff's department is still not accepting any volunteers to aid in the search. If the search is opened up to the public, we will post so that anyone interested can assist. We are seeing a lot of comments and frustration about the lack of information being given to the public regarding this case. The lack of information given to the public is not uncommon while any investigation of this kind is taking place and we continue to ask for followers of this page to understand and respect that fact. Thank you all for your continued support!
