Next witness??? Why wasn't Baker the last? Ugh...

The family law expert was interesting. No bias at all. lol

His analogy of Monica being better off financially if there was a divorce is not true. The homicide rate would be lower if that were the case. It’s the top reason for why husbands kill their wives.

Was there a smoking gun from Baker? I didn’t see his testimony yet.

I had plans for today and missed the trial. Figured four days of Baker was enough. Anything note worthy? Trial resumes tomorrow?
I watched an hour or two of the end of the cross examination today, and it was more of the same. She basically asked him questions about his trial prep meetings with his attorneys and pointed out the many inconsistencies in his stories. He responded with a lot of “I don’t remember verbatim but I’m sure I said it” and “I was just talking… I wasn’t analyzing every single word before I said it” and yada yada yada. But I could tell she was making a note of every discrepancy in his many versions of the story, so I can’t wait until her closing.

There were a lot of clarifying questions asked about the GPS devices. He says he put GPS on two of Fabio’s vehicles but he doesn’t remember when he did it. He wasn’t sure when he removed the GPS device off one of the vehicles but said it was months after the murder. He said he removed the one on the stolen Porsche right after he parked it. He said he received alerts on his real phone (as opposed to a burner) via text or email whenever Fabio left the house, but he doesn’t know what happened to the phone. He said he also had a program on his laptop that let him check the GPS but the laptop was stolen. First he said he bought the devices with cash but can’t remember where. Then he said he bought them with cash from a third party that he refused to reveal. In other words, there’s no proof that these GPS devices ever existed. Also, he never thought to tell his attorneys about them until their meeting last week.

Thank You so much @cujenn81 for filling me in. I don't quite know the significance of the GPS devices. Please excuse me for asking maybe stupid questions. Some of this has gone over my head.

I believed him the other day when he said he put two GPS trackers on the truck and the Porsche, supporting his guilt. Now, if those are lies, if some of the phone testimony are lies too, what does that mean in regards to this trial? How does all this fit into trying to determine if Monica was involved? If Prosecution is just trying to make him out as a bigger liar in comparison to Austin, I think it's been accomplished.

What do you think has been the most damning testimony or evidence to convince the Jurors of Monica's help in the involvement, planning, & orchestration of the killing of her husband Fabio?

The first witness after Baker (a cell phone expert) at the end of his testimony was shown Baker's Amazon list of purchases and there was a GPS unit on it, but no date as to when purchased. I was most interested in that - did he buy it before he bought the burner phone(s) or after?

I saw her pooch her lips once or twice but yes, much more understated than she had been.

The prosecutor (still don't know their names!) wasn't kidding when she said he'd be on the stand a few days, unfortunately. I hope we see the end of this soon, there doesn't seem to be much if anything more to cover (unless she's got something up her sleeve no one knows anything about).
I actually enjoyed watching the prosecutor Beth Silverman discredit Robert Baker over and over and over. I read somewhere that her nickname is 'the sniper' so I can't wait for closing arguments. Somewhere in the last couple of days she read something out from one of the defenses interviews with Robert Baker, where the Defense attorney had told Baker 'he was their most important witness'. I bet the Defense team are wishing they never put him on the stand now though!

Good morning all. Court TV Opening Statements anchor just said the state is recalling Christoper Austin back to the stand. Interesting.

So did the defense rest yesterday? Meaning if Austin is back on the stand today - it would be the State's rebuttal witnesses? or?? Probably don't have the right word for the State....

On January 23, 2017, Monica Sementilli met Robert Baker in a parking lot for just 4 and a half minutes—but in that short time, everything was set in motion for the murder of Fabio Sementilli. In this video, I break down the timeline minute by minute and show how quickly Monica and Baker acted, all while trying to hide their communication through Viver. You won’t believe how calculated and cold-blooded this was. Watch to see how those four minutes changed everything. Full testimony on Day 19 of the trial – link in comments and description.

hi @Niner - I honestly do not know if defense has rested or not. I can’t find that anywhere. Sorry.
If the defense is resting after their last witness, I didn't see them do it yesterday, guess we'll see this morning.

I don't mind at all if the prosecution calls Austin in rebuttal, refresh the jury on the juxtaposition between him and Baker, it's so stark.
