And - from what I understand on some of the posts above - next week the Judge is busy with "something" else - and court will only be in session on Friday, right? TIA! :)

Yes, he said he has to teach Mon. - Thur.

Since there was blood on the manual garage door pull, I wonder if there was also blood where the security DVR was (that he cut the wires to)?

Thank you for that info on the Judge! :)

It doesn’t seem like she is making as many faces today. I can’t tell if the prosecutor is making real progress with Baker today. It seems like she is pausing too long in between the questions and it gives him time to think of what to follow up with to cover his lie. He is enjoying frustrating her.

I hope I am wrong but so far today she isn’t forming a tight circle for the jury.

It bugs me when she says “Oh I see”.

Maybe she's giving him time to make up another version that she can later implode. lol

No sarcasm intended...Is this questioning headed to a point? The purpose of proving or setting a situation isn't clear to me.

State asking about "the other set of eyes" is in question.

"Whatever I wrote on this paper is what I wrote."

"This is the letter I wrote."

Didn't you tell Monica that Fabio was to blame for his own murder?

"That's what I wrote."

I think her point is to show the jury that he’s a liar and his testimony can’t be trusted, but I think she’s well proven that point already. It’s become a bit tiring.

A long, brutal cross that is driving everybody up a wall, but making the point that Baker is lying for Monica. That's what needed to happen, and seems to be getting the point across to Jurors.

From what I understand, Bianchi, a former Prosecutor, says, "This is the character of what they brought there." Bianchi is saying that by the Defense bringing Baker to the trial, putting his low character and lying on display, they're proving this is what Monica was hanging around with, and "if you hang around dogs, you get fleas".

It was a repetitive slow-go for awhile but getting to the letter tightens it up. He is trying hard to get to her but she isn’t phased.

It was monotonous before she got to the letter. This was on repeat: he would answer a question emphatically then on the next one he said he didn’t remember. One for one over and over.

Someone must have told her that her facial expressions were not believable. She scaled back but she has a bit more makeup on today.

Off topic-has anyone seen a Henning thread? Military couple, husband fatally shot his wife. Jordan and Ashley Henning.

"It wasn't the same plan..." ~Baker

Maybe it was a concept of a plan!

Please, I need filling in on details. There's a lot of outrageous details in this case. Who really wrote that letter? In general, it sounds like fiction. It really sounds like someone dictated that letter trying to cover all the bases. Such neat printing, Baker surprisedly has quite the way with words. How he's amazed and all those subtle nuances thrown into the story. Baker testifying he wrote that letter over and over came across like a hardened criminal taking pride in sticking to the lie. Monica and he met in the Target parking lot? Was that after the killing?

I am pretty confused about the letter because she wasn’t reading it in order. She would take a sentence out of a paragraph so it was difficult to understand the context.

As far as Target he was all over the place. There is a bowling alley thrown in the mix with a meeting in the parking lot. From what he said that was with Austin.

The Target parking lot was before the killing, they met up for a few minutes, apparently to firm up the plan, Fabio was killed an hour or so after that.

Baker doesn't want to admit that they met up there because that implicates Monica in the plan to kill Fabio.

This is the first I'm seeing the details of this letter, though I think it's the one the prosecutor mentioned before, that was full of lies and Baker (at some previous point) admitted that.
