Long lunch as always. I have to say Mr. Levine's "Indignation!!!!" act is rankling me and to me, personally, is off-putting. We'll see how it lands with the factfinders, I suppose.

1744058829535.webp MOO, after all Prosecution's wonderful visuals, we now just get a bald spot.

LAPD officer told Austin, "If you wanna get out of here, you have to get the b itch." Jurors have sat through 9 wks. of evidence and testimony. Levine says there's no way Fabio is sitting in that chair and didn't fight back, so without Austin being there holding Fabio down... so that didn't happen without Austin. Levine's point, easily getting lost in this chatty discourse, is that Austin's plea deal sentence then is a result of saying Monica was involved. Says Baker had something that enabled him to convince & talk people into things, but without Austin he couldn't have pulled off the murder.

The important visual Levine wants to show Jurors. Austin has to give the State truthful & valuable info if he wants a plea deal. Implying now that Austin wasn't truthful including Monica in the planning.

There are just no words, that he was murdered for little more than selfish lust and greed. It's so so so sad and wasteful.😶

Before Closing Arguments began, after the Defense rested: "Over 38 days of testimony, jurors heard from 44 state witnesses and 13 defense witnesses." This trial has lasted nine weeks Levine reminded Jurors.

Trying to find out the defense attorney's first name, but it isn't used much in this article. Defense Attorney Leonard Levine.

Defense Attorney Leonard Levine presents the definition of "Betrayal". Levine agrees with Prosecution that Monica is guilty of all listed, except there's one word not listed and not used to define betrayal, that word is Murder.

They're about to take an afternoon 15 minute break, but Levine will continue for another hour or so after break. Okay, be back at 3 p.m. Pacific Time.

I don't think this is helping his client....not at all. IMO.

🤔 I am very skeptical regarding his promised explanation after the break of why all the points the Prosecution claim indicate guilt, actually equate innocence 🤨

  • #870
MOO, without Monica supplying everything to make it possible for the murder to happen, giving Baker & Austin details to know Fabio's whereabouts, supplying timing info and actual entry, presenting an actual motive $$$ for others enticing them with promises of money to murder of her husband, there wouldn't have been a murder of Fabio Sementilli. IMO, the word "murder" belongs on that list of her being guilty of betrayal. That makes her as guilty like the others, if not more so, of Murder.

Defense Leonard Levine says the beginning of their relationship shows communication was consistent even to January 2017. It didn't increase, it was always thousands of messages over the time of their relationship.

Baker texted much more than Monica, and Baker seemed to have a lot of time to communicate with Monica apparently. Exhibit shows 4% are calls, the rest is texts. I have no idea what this is proving. Levine says, their obsessive relationship had nothing to do with the killing of Fabio Sementilli. He's trying to spin it that Baker was obsessed with Monica, not the other way around. Levine says, it's not evidence of murder, just a sordid, dirty hard to understand affair.

I guess we have to believe Monica Sementilli is a poor victim of a sexual and emotional dominating predator. We then also have to conveniently forget she was shopping around for a lover before she even met Baker. (Matt)

I bet Monica loves it each time her attorney blurts out, which is quite often, how much Baker is so obsessed with her.

So far it doesn't seem like Mr. Levine can keep his facts straight.

Levine mentions the July 2016 meet up at the Aria in Vegas and says "who knows where Fabio was, he was probably traveling since he does that often". Umm pretty sure Fabio was in Vegas with Monica for some kind of convention or training seminar and had went down the street to another Hotel.

I'm taking screenshots of the Defense's visuals, too, in an attempt to show what the Jurors have been presented with before they start deliberation. Plus, it helps me stay busy while Levine drones on.

1744065110061.webp Levine wants to leave the visual up. Think it might say Mrs. Baker, but not sure, no close up.

1744065269336.webp

Back to this, that there communication didn't increase as it got closer to Fabio's murder. Baker and Monica are messaging hundreds of times a day, 150 times a day, or more.

1744065442399.webp

1744065807790.webp No proven evidence of any three-way calls between any combination of three-way calls between Austin, Birdsong, & Monica being on a three-way call with Baker. Where is the evidence to confirm what Austin said? The defense attorney has to rely on shooting down Austin's testimony because he doesn't have much to defend Monica.

1744065855000.webp

Levine says, "I'll tell you what happened", as he tries to re-write how the first attempt to kill Fabio failed to go down at the Pho place-- all the defense attorney thinks he knows is that Monica wasn't part of it. Ha! Levine's the defense attorney. Of course he's going to re-write the crime to excuse Monica. lol

1744066320838.webp Winding down for today, but he promises he'll go into it further tomorrow. ( 😪groan) ETA-- Adjourned until tomorrow, Tuesday, at 9 a.m. Pacific Time.

I have no doubt that Baker is cunning and marked her for her money and potential to get his hands on it. I do think she was manipulated by the "bad boy" and wild sex aspects of this in the beginning. She may have wanted some fun but as soon as it started to go down the path of harming her husband and doing things like filming and giving Baker lots and lots of ammunition to blackmail her..... she had ample opportunity to exit the game. She stayed and began to fantasize about Sementilli money and a full time Baker relationship of sex and no responsibility.

She is so guilty, IMHO. No doubt. She set that man up and set up her daughters.

yes, and Levine first started out saying what a womanizer Baker was and he had multiple women he was seeing at the same time he was seeing Monica .. but then goes on to expect us to believe that he was obsessed enough with Monica to kill her husband so he could spend more time with her. I don't know about Mr. Levine, but I haven't met a player yet that would kill someones husband just so they can have more time together when he has 5 other chicks on the side.

Oh and didn't one of the witnesses testify that Baker said Monica was wearing him out sexually and that he couldn't keep up which is the reason he was okay with introducing other men into the equation?

To me, that fact that she preyed on Fabio in the first place and broke up HIS marriage, makes me believe in her tendency to shop around for greener grass. I have a feeling the power balance in this hellacious coupling between Monica and Baker was more balanced than Mr. Levine would like for us to believe. MOO.

I don't know why this is just sinking in to me .. but 150 messages a day?! for over a year. That is absolutely crazy! What would you even have left to talk about when you did get together? lol
And the 69 messages back and forth over a period of like 3 hours on the night of the 1st attempt .. I don't even think I hit 69 messages in a months time.
How did these two ever get anything else done during the day? It's no wonder she didn't have a job. She wouldn't have had time to work.

Lest we forget @rebelchild … these two were in love. And Baker ruled over and was obsessed with Monica/Madonna/Mrs Baker. No need to talk.
