not at all surprised at where he is being held. Just an awful awful thing. Hard to wrap one's mind around someone doing that. And the loved ones? The first responders? so many prayers going out to them all.

My guess is to get back at his wife. Something went down between them, IMO, and he did the unthinkable to that poor innocent child. It's just sickening what some people will do to others.

A woman outside of the home told deputies that her husband, Demskiy, assaulted her and her mother who was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

There is no way there was not domestic violence in this household..........
All this will just be too horrific to follow...

If not DV, perhaps the sealed record of a juvenile offender. The level of violence is extreme, even for someone experiencing drug induced psychosis.

Looks like they’re originally from Belarus and have been here a few years. His wife is finishing her degree and doesn’t appear particularly unstable.

Hoping that his wife and her mother will be able to still have a place to stay and to take care of each other. No idea if the husband had a job and was the one who paid the rent and covered other necessities, etc.
I am glad that they have each other. Also hoping that the two of them have friends nearby.
At least the cruelty he used on both women will cease now. They can grieve together and try to somehow get above the horrors that were done to them and their little child.

There is a fundraising page for them, made by the sister-in-law, that mentions that the wife is expecting….I hope she receives all the care and support she needs in order to be healthy for her child…just heartbreaking
