Steely, me too. Somebody didn't want him to go to Argentina, then they would never see him again. Also the silverware is a major player here. Of course she used the "I was on the east coast" alibi and then acts like she is doing everything to find the killer and throw everybody off. She's good really. I wonder if she knew the police wouldn't be thorough somehow. After all she is a reporter.

This question begs the implication...would the killer WANT to be caught?

No the killer doesn't want to be caught. She is just smarter than the average bear!

I wonder if anyone here would be brave enough to write to the producers of the film and see if they have any answers to the questions we've been asking, like who told Melissa about Hugues' death.

According to the agenda of last night's film-showing:

8:15: Questions and Answers with Bill Fazio, attorney at law representing the family, John Murphy, private investigator, Gitanjali Bhushan neighbor next door, Olivier Ngueda friend and co-worker...

Boy do we have a question we'd love an answer for...I wonder if anyone asked it? Or if anyone who attended might come on here and share?

..saw the comment on the blog about the friends in NYC being the connection...

Shall we lay this to rest then?

SnowAngels, I read the blog too from Hugues friend Christoffe. Do you remember on the 48hrs video at the end M and Christoffe were toasting each other for Hugues. Honestly I remember thinking that they looked pretty close. It looked like they were flirting and I was thinking was she trying to get with him, cause he is Hugues friend. I will look again to see if I can find it. Maybe that's why he stuck up for her on that blog. He certainly isn't over here giving up answers.

Curious.

My bad, I watched the whole thing again. All they did was hug and then toast and she said "heres to good looking Italian men" I was wrong about the flirting, but at the time I saw it I was thinking differently. But one thing look how Hugues was on video coming home and then it was gone so maybe someone got past the camera that quick too. Maybe it just didnt capture them. One more thing to look at. He was looking for sex on the computer. Maybe he got hold of a psycho that came and something went wrong outside. I don't know very confusing.

Amazing, isn't it? Christophe, apparently a friend of Ms. Nix, has responded to questions about the informer. Finally, finally, we now know who told Melissa. The caller's name is New Yorker.

We have just been informed that the person who called nix has been identified. The name is "new yorker." flash! Once and for all, the lingering question, who called ms. Nix with the news has been revealed. It is new yorker!
After repeated attempts to speak with new yorker, we've just heard from a reliable source, that new yorker will make a public statement, soon. Sources close to new yorker, who spoke on condition of anonymity, claim new yorker lives in new york and had friends in common with leapfrog and hugues and nix. We have just learned that it appears someone notified new yorker who then informed melissa. We understand that new yorker, who was contacted while in new york, then reached out to friend -in-common nix. Other than that, we know that new yorker likely knows how to use a telephone, has made at least one call during the time new york has been alive. Sadly, we know no more than that, but we, too, wait with great anticipation to see and hear new yorker as new yorker breaks the silence new yorker has maintained for lo these many months.

YES. OBVIOUSLY, NOW THAT WE KNOW IT WAS NEW YORKER, THERE IS NO NEED TO PURSUE THIS MATTER ANY FURTHER. NEW YORKER IS THE MYSTERY CALLER. NEW YORKER HAS NOT BEEN INTERVIEWED NOR SEEN BUT IT WAS NEW YORKER WHO SPREAD THE WORD TO MS. NIX. NEW YORKER, IN A HANDWRITTEN STATEMENT TO THE MEDIA, LEFT UNSIGNED AND UNDATED, DEEMS THIS MATTER OFFICIALLY CLOSED AND WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINING FURTHER REQUESTS FOR INTERVIEWS, BOOK SIGNINGS, ETC.

Well, I can assure you it wasn't me.

Anyway, this doesn't help one iota in this case. Did he call her landline or her cell? Why is he reluctant to come forward? Did he call from his cell or his landline? It causes more questions than it answers. JMO

Unfortunately, the sleuths of the web have taken this case as far as they can. The mystery caller is now known. All questions posed by this ambitious, hard-nosed batch of amateur detectives are answered with uncommon clarity. Just think! It is stated that New Yorker was the very caller whose anonymity had left many of us confused and bewildered. We are grateful for this astounding revelation. New Yorker, it was you all along!
Wait, what's that? Hello? New Yorker is not a person? What you talkin bout? The caller is from New York? Well, of cour... The name is still not known? What? They said it was somebody from New York. Oh, you mean, New York, as in a place?
So we know nothing more than we did 2 and 1/2 years ago?

Who told New Yorker? :waitasec:

In an abrupt about face, websleuths reject the notion that we are one iota closer to identifying the mystery caller. It was all a hoax.

Ok...your comments are going a little too far. Please don't mock me.

Honestly, I don't think I'll be posting on this board anymore. For one of my thoughts to be made in this complete theatrical production of a mockery is in very poor taste. This board is about expressing opinions, and responding to those opinions in a respectful way. What is being created here now is a somewhat hostile environment. I do not appreciate the theatrics made at my expense.

Signing off,

SnowAngels

The statement by Christophe did absolutely nothing to bring us closer to an answer regarding the identity of the mysterious caller. He merely perpetuates more vagueness, hoping we will accept it and go away. It was a ruse. That was the point.

As usual, Ms. Nix stays far away from the podium of public accountability. Imagine someone withholding such mundane, easily accessible and crucial information from her!

Sorry SnowAngels,
I didn't intend to appear to be mocking you whatsoever. I intended to mock the other side. I see how I erred. I do apologize. I promise I didn't mean to mock you at all.

We are closer than ever to uncovering who it was. For those concealing this nonsense to try to divert us with silly nonsense is unforgivable. We want to know who informed Nix because we'd like to solve this disgusting tragedy. They are playing around with a murder. It is a vile thing to do!
