IIRC, Metro sued Mike McStay after he took over EIP.
thanks @Mica :) We don't know the details of it? I am just wondering if they were still trying to get the "insurance" money LOL

I'm listening to Carmen again right now, think I found the insurance project name... it was called "T-Junker'. Based on a question by Maline to Carmen... he asked her if she recalls it being the T-Junker project or account.

WHY would anyone else, have to be involved? He drove to Fallbrook, in the evening of Feb. 4, 2010. He may very well have/probably had a gun (he has been known to go shooting, up in Victorville, when he was younger), overpowered the parents and murdered everyone. He loaded the bodies into his truck. Drove back home and the next day, looked for a secluded spot to bury them, ending up in Victorville. The next day, drove back to Fallbrook and took the Isuzu to San Ysidro. There's a Greyhound Bus Depot about 2 blocks away from the parking lot, where he left the Isuzu. I have parked in that same lot myself (more than once) and walked across the border (many years ago), no one ever stopped/questioned me or towed my car--just sayin'. There are also all kinds of buses that cater to Latino's that travel from the border to L.A., Northern SD county and the Inland Empire. Then there's the SD Trolley, which he could've taken to the Coaster (Amtrak) located in SD Old Town Transit Depot, to Oceanside, then used North County Transit to Fallbrook, back to his truck. He has been to Mexico, in the past and is familiar with all of the different types of transportation going northward. I am quite certain, that he had been planning these murders for a LOOOONG time.
JMO, I agree that the Perp planned these Murders well in advance. I would like to know if CM was influential in the choose of Real Estate JM purchased as all 3 Crime Scenes are all within a few miles of the I-15.

JMO, the McStay's lived 11 miles from Fallbrook, in the community of Lake Rancho Viejo which is approx 2 miles off I-15. The attached Public Transport route would be more direct.Screenshot_20190306-124436.png

Part 1 and Part 2 of day 27 is now uploaded to YouTube.

OMG, CM denies being in the area of the grave sites a week after they were reported missing.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

What else are you explaining THIS man wasn't involved with their murders at this point? Seriously ? He hasn't been able to tell the truth since they were missing. How many "red flags" do you need to see HE was involved with their murders now?

Those who think he is innocent MUST have a hard time with LE and YOUR past experience with dealing with LE. There is NO WAY SBSO is out to "get" CM for these murders, NO WAY.

The "evidence" is overwhelming at this point.

Lie after lie after lie by CM so far. It's time to realize HE was the one who killed the MS Family.

In the earlier threads, we went through a lot of different ways he could have gone down to the border and come back to be able to hit a tower in Corona, it's a very tight timeline IMO. IF he went to MSM that Monday morning.... then had to go get the Trooper (where ever it was?) then down to the border and back before 1 or 1:30 (can't recall the exact time of that call), it was doable, but tight IMO

I can't wait to hear the whole 8 hours... Maline said they plan on playing it LOL

After hearing his interview: I am 100% convinced he killed the MS family, w/o a doubt !

He even mentions Stoddard Rd !!!

F Him !!!

@Edmo I look forward to hearing the whole 8 hours... taking a minute or 2 from an 8 hour long interview is interesting to say the least! Wonder why the prosecution didn't play it all? Sounds like the defense would have agreed to it and wouldn't have even objected.

CM can "say" he wasn't near the grave sites until the cows come home. However, his cell phone placed him there, no matter HOW you want to slice it. THIS is a fact of the case the DT can NOT contest.

Cause they ONLY needed a portion to prove CM was a liar?

Imagine the impact if they could show 8 hours of him lying?

CM just might walk away from this with a hung jury. However, I believe he killed the family of four due to his greed.

Dugal I think....
Yes, you are spot on. It was DuGal. So I can’t really see more of the fountains listed on there but I did grab a decent shot of the column headings. It is notable that beginning in the last quarter of 2009, Joey was paying much more to MSM and much less to Merritt.

I have read this lots Edmo... that people think he is guilty but could get off (not so much here, but there are some here that think the same), why do you think that?

I think even if the defense didn't present their case, it could go either way, only because there are some unanswered questions. I think we might get answers to some of the unanswered questions (at least the one's I have) on the defense side, possibly even from cross exam from the prosecution.

Most cases I follow, there is very little doubt about the guilt, this case has been different from day 1, where there still seems to be quite a few that don't believe he did it at all, no way, no how.

I feel the same was as Edmo. I believe he did it, but I’m not sure there’s enough evidence to send him to the gallows. There are still too many unanswered questions, IMO. I want to know what happened. I want to know quite badly. I do not think we ever will though, regardless of how the verdict goes.

I can't read those  Can you tell me how much Joey paid MSM? and then how much Chase was paid?

Regardless of whether Joey fired Chase or not, he was going to have to figure something out to get more help than just 1 person. 1 other person could not make, ship, install those fountains IMO Hypothetically, if Joey was to sign a contract to do 500 fountains for a chain business( was it a hotel?), I can't recall the rumour... but would anyone expect 1 person to make and install all of those? Take out the Chase factor, insert any competent person that could theoretically make those fountains, can 1 person do it?

I'm curious... what are you unanswered questions? I think the prosecution left lots of loose ends. One thing I was thinking about today is that they only showed a small snapshot of Joey's business. They didn't show us how he did his books, they didn't show us how Chase did his, if he did. IIRC Boles was only asked to analyze small snips of the cell records (probably why he didn't realize he was wrong about the VM's and it didn't mean the phone was off), 1-15th for Chase, not even sure if he analyzed more than the 4th for Joey, and I guess Summer's cell activity didn't matter? Or even what she did that day? Hanke testified about QB's, but his analysis was limited and very narrow as well, Feb 1st- something IIRC

ETA: Hanke may have looked at more, but his 16 page report covered Feb 1st on. Had to go back and look, and he did look at cheques from the EIP bank account, and printed off a bunch of stuff.

you just be quiet LOL I want to see her testify... her and Dan! LOL Why do you think she would not be good? I found it interesting that McGee said that she has said the same thing since Feb 2010, even when they threatened her that they were going to charge her ... I haven't listened to all of the new recordings, but last I heard from the judge, he told the defense all her prior statements, including the video of her being interviewed by SD detectives could be shown.

This is from the Jailhouse recordings Hearing:

McGee tells the judge, I can inform the court that the interviews that Ms. Jarvis had with LE, that is what she kept telling them, that is a review of the conversation, and the officers kept telling her that can't be right, you're wrong, he wasn't there, she like no, he was there, I saw his phone, she has said that since Feb 2010, and they started trying to trip her up, saying well what about this? and trying to change her testimony and change her statement, they were trying to realistically manufacture evidence that he wasn't home. And she was very clear in Feb 2010, she's been very clear in all emails with other people and very clear with SB, he was home when that phone rang, I saw it ring and I wondered why he wasn't picking it up. So this is not Mr. Merritt trying to convince Ms. Jarvis what to say, this is a rendition of the statements she has said since day 1. Even though LE tried to get her to change her story, I shouldn't say that, SBSD tried to get her to change that story, she has stuck to it, and she (someone says something).. McGee: even under threat of arrest, they were threatening her if you are going with this, then you're an accomplice and we are going to arrest you too, she still held her ground, that's what happened, and that's what the conversation was, it was not Mr. Merritt trying to tell her what to say, it was a reminder of the recorded conversation and the contents of it.

Judge: alright, that may be. I still think that conversation is relevant. If that conversation is played however, for that inference that Mr. Merritt was trying to get her to say certain things, then the defense would be able to put on the earlier statements to show that Ms. J didn't need to be reminded or convinced of anything, that she had said that from day 1 and continued to say that.

It sounds like she is just saying the PHONE was at the house. She never said she saw the whites of his eyes on that night.

Re the question of CM being overpaid vs owing money.....
1. There is no justification for murder.
2. If CM owed a tremendous amount of money, that could be considered motive.
3. If CM was owed a bunch of cash, and Joey disputed that fact, that could be motive.

How come they didn't play the entire 8-hour interview? I know it would take a few days but that would be awesome to see.
