I can't even think of a reason he would do that and increase the chances of being seen for no gain. He knew the family was going to disappear and he wanted it to look like they were still alive. So he would want the Trooper not sitting outside the house. Anyone dropping by the next day such as McGyver showing up to do painting would know there was a problem if both vehicles were at home and no answer and report a welfare check, but Chase wasn't ready for that yet as we know the computer was accessed again on the 5th and 8th. I think he may have driven it away from its parking spot in the street in front of the house and left it in the neighborhood or parked on the vacant plot.
Nice!Balance....
I don't no. The cameras didn't capture that side of the street. Demonstrated in the screenshots previously posted. IMO.BBM You don't think the cam would have caught that?
The Trooper being there, not there, being moved, or whatever seems to be that one thing that is hard to find an explanation for IMO
Does anyone recall which exhibit displayed JMs bank balance at the top of the page? Was wondering if Merritt was able to see it while on QBs.

I don't think Joey ever parked it in the driveway that day. If Chase can be believed on anything at all he said Summer didn't like Joey parking on the drive because it didn't leave her enough room to get the boys in and out so he habitually parked on the street in front of the house.I have not bothered to get on top of the security cam location so am being lazy if you will indulge
Is it possible to move the trooper out of the driveway after 7 without being snapped by the cam?
And why did it get CM?
If it's beyond the range of the camera it wouldn't be on the video.I wonder why the prosecution doesn't have video of JM leaving that day in the Trooper and the time? There is also no video of the Trooper ever leaving again that evening or the next day (or ever) so one would assume that it never came back from RC?

CM backing his car to the garage to "load" makes a lot of sense IMO - but he would have had to move the trooper
But as you say, maybe his original staging idea was to move the trooper away
Chris Watts made this mistake of leaving the vehicle at the house
Any ideas who might be testifying today

The video camera was only turned on at 7pm
If I was better with Paint I would draw you a diagram to show what part of the road was covered by the camera and what part of the road Joey would have driven on after turning around, to pull in on the street outside his house, but I'm rubbish with Paint. He would have been driving on the wrong side of the street to park outside his house. As I said just above if the Trooper was moved after the truck left the driveway (which SDSO thought was the Trooper so they weren't looking for it being moved later since they thought it had gone) it still wouldn't be in range of the cameras as the headlights would shine ahead as it moved off. At most there would probably be a brightening but that could be from any vehicles moving out of range of the camera, such as Joey's neighbor's vehicles. IMO.Right, but if he drove it to the end of the cul-de-sac and turned around, or pulled into the driveway and turned around, I would think the cam would catch that ... unless he drove outside of the view of the cam, which I don't know why he would drive on the wrong side of the road. I wonder if turning on the truck and lights would have activated the cam or could have been seen on the cam just from the illumination. Geesh I wish we had more of that cam footage from that night!
Morning all!
Since I have been following true crime for almost 4 decades now, I have learned HOW murderers carried out their crimes is rarely known in great detail whether it's this case or many others.
All of the victim's voices have been silenced, and the suspect has a constitutional right to not incriminate themselves.
In the end, all I know is they WERE able, and DID and DO carry them out, and unfortunately he will not be the last one capable of doing so all by themselves from beginning to end. .
CM is not the only defendant by far who carried out mass murders all by themselves, including the aftermath, and cover up.
Some were able to murder many more victims than CM when he murdered four. Two of his victims were tiny little children. It was so easy for him to murder the smallest, and most defensless. Neither boys stood a chance with this large enraged adult man who was so much stronger, and powerful.
What matters most to me anyway.... is not trying to obsess over HOW any defendant carried out their diabolical murders, but to concentrate on the evidence being presented that shows the defendant is indeed the one who did the crimes, BARD.
I tend to not dwell on the why, how, when, what or even where it may have happened. None of these things have to be known since its painfully obvious in this case, and in others it DID happen.
The state in any murder case has only three required elements they must prove.
1, first, they must prove who the deceased victim or victims are.
2.secondly, They must show evidence the victim's death were all due to homicide.
3. Lastly, CM, the one charged, and accused is guilty, BARD.
So I stick with what has to be proven instead of what doesnt have to be proven by the state. In every case there are always unanswered questions.
It's just how I look at cases though.
Imo
