"m breaking the news to you now. We will not be live in McStay next week and possibly the week after. We will go back at some point but pulling our equipment so we can do another trial.

Sorry, we can't keep our equipment at a trial that is rarely in session, takes forever with witnesses and getting low viewership when we can use it at a trial that will be high profile. We will return

So we'll have nothing until the end of trial. I can't believe it.

The prosecution better be sure that no one on that jury has ever had financial difficulties, or someone close to them that has a gambling issue and has not killed anyone.

JMO

Well they can't exclude evidence pointing to a potential motive just because a juror may know someone with a similar financial issue, IMO.

I think it will be bad for the defense if there is someone on the jury who has someone close to them with a gambling issue. Even if they haven't killed anyone, they may have been irresponsible and dishonest towards friends, family coworkers, IF they have severe gambling issues. And Chase seems to have severe issues if he cannot pay his family's rent and bills. But he can spend more than 35,000 bucks in Indian casinos.

Ok, but you are assuming that all gamblers steal, etc. They don't IMO And someone can have a problem regardless of how much they spend. Like I said, I spend very little when I go... and yep, probably even went a few times when I shouldn't have and had other bills to pay and didn't. I know some people that put $100 bills in, repeatedly... which is crazy, even to me LOL But I don't automatically assume that they are thiefs, or liars, or killers. I'm actually interested to know what questions they asked in jury selection? I wonder if they asked about gambling?

Can another media organisation cover it, or did no one else apply?

However, we can see that CHASE did have a problem. He spent thousands at the casinos and couldn't pay his rent or bills and has young children at home.

I wonder if anyone in the jury box knows someone with gambling addiction in their own life listening to all this and feels the wheels turning.

Right, but that can work both ways. They can know or be someone that gambles, and know they aren't liars, a thief, or a killer. Or they could know someone that was a gambler and had other issues, like being a thief, a liar, hopefully not a killer.

I just posted that I'm curious now to know what they were asked in jury selection lol

She said no one else was interested because of the length of the trial and low viewer interest.

I can almost promise you she is not an informant, unless there was recent developments. If she was the defense would have to know this and if this was the case it would seem they would be operating from a different position than they have been.

After they separated CJ hauled much of their belongings to her mother in Arizona and she had it in storage. Being so early in the case it would seem the laptop would have been accessible to Chase and may have hold some revealing clues. Maybe it's the source of the quotes about "Remorse, forgiveness and murder" that detectives found in his home. Maybe it's what he used for the QB on the 5th.

There is a rumor of a missing laptop not recovered. Was there 5 "devices" listed recovered from the home or am I mistaken?

So do you believe she will be testifying then? If so that should be some of the most interesting testimony - I may have to take the day off from work to watch!

Also, as you say, you could easily spend 7 hours if you were winning. But he spent 7 hours and made 3 withdrawals. Is he wasn't winning.

sometimes it's that LAST $20 that you win on...

Seriously. If you don't frequent a casino, or know people that do, it's hard to understand. lol

I live in a place that there is not much for "entertainment" ... unfortunately, the casino is one of the only sources around here LOL

The defence can't say this

Chase has to testify to it. Or possibly an expert witness
I don't mean for them to actually say it.. but acknowledge it and move on.

Oh my goodness! Dan Abrams say it isn't so? We need to take up a collection for Cricket. She is now our go-to girl. What is wrong with these people?

This is the last time I am going to respond regarding this subject lol :)

Graphs and charts are not the same as an interpretive summary. My 8th grader can plug numbers in a chart. Isn't the purpose of a forensic accountant to analyze and interpret those charts? What the judge meant was that if the forensic accountant's interpretations, if any, weren't already included somewhere in the charts and graphs then the defense is entitled to that in a summary.

So then why did the judge allow it??

I'm still trying to play catch up but it may not happen so I stopped to respond to you. Worked 4am-1pm today on motions and orders and organizing. Then sent the other chick to the hearing so I could get home to my kids! Our trial is supposed to be in 5 weeks providing the prosecution doesn't delay it again.

ohhh okay, why did I think it started this week? LOL @ other chick

Hope you catch up... it's been hard today! LOL

for real. Cathy Russon tweeted that in chat. they are pulling their cameras for another trial.

What other possible reason could a family of 4 murdered and buried in shallow graves, including 2 toddlers, be MORE important? THIS case is/was a Nation Wide case, why in the world would L&C pull out NOW???

DONT DO THAT---there may not be any coverage next week. Law and crime are pulling their cameras after today
