ITA DK is a nasty piece of work. Much of the above was verified. Both he and Johanson were high on my list of possibles earlier on before they were found. But once the bodies were found in Victorville . . . well, that, in itself, was a big 'ole arrow to suspect #3 - CM, whose grifting and stealing have been well documented, as well as his admitted close adjacency to all things McStay physically, emotionally, monetarily.
I have to wholeheartedly agree with this. Having personal contact with him for almost two years, I can tell you he is very much how he was to the reporter in the interview, not the dapper guy seen on E Investigates.

I went back and forth between Vick and Chase. Before the remains were found, both had these shady pasts and were leaves to the wind. Vick was my top guy up until Chase was arrested, because he had violent tendencies, made threats against people's lives and knew the desert.

I am curious about the sale of EIP and how that came between him and these drug dealers.

Seriously! They have exclusive streaming rights and their feed is ****. The only reliable way to watch is to stream their intermittent live coverage "TV channel" on YouTube which is a waste because of all the commercials and constant cutting in and out to hear so called experts give a half baked opinion and most of the time they can't even get whether or not it's the pros. Or defense questioning the witness. They give opinions and it's obvious they started listening to the testimony 5 minutes ago and have no idea what they are talking about. Just because the trial is a slower paced and can't be covered in a soundbite doesn't make it any less important than any other trial. Pissed!

I've started waiting until the end of the day and just watching the videos. That's not bad, and it's shorter.

Right, but we won't even be able to do that since they are cutting their feed.

If Chase is pinging off the Pechenga Casino at 12:58 PM on February 13, when does he meet with Mike that day and go to the McStay residence?

Maybe. Maybe not. It's actually unusual for trials in California to be live-streamed. It's remarkable we've gotten the coverage we did.

I find that when something isn't appreciated, sometimes it goes away.

Does author Caitlin Rother have a Twitter acct? She wrote some interesting books about crimes in the San Diego area, before. Maybe she will go up to San Bernadino and send tweets.

It just sucks they are cutting their feed when the state is getting into the best testimony. In a world we live in when most people have the ability to broadcast live with a smartphone and an app.. .. Unbelievably frustrating

YES! that was it! so what does that mean? That all the water would settle there? I don't really know the term... lol

It's much like a river or creek but in the desert. Torrential downpours will often fill these washes very quickly and can overcome someone in them without notice, especially near mountainous areas. Once the rain stops or dissipates, the swollen 'wash' rainwater will drain down towards a larger wash and eventually into groundwater through the desert sands. Then the wash returns essentially to what it was before, but now a muddy wash. The aftermath is probably what Merritt would have had to trek through. Not quite muddy in the wash because it's hard panned, but muddy on the embankment. That's why the tracks were formed the way they were and are still there. If he (or someone) did it when it was dry, we would see very different tracks.

I love the desert for these reasons. The natural beauty of it. People can have their off roading vehicles, that's cool for them. I prefer to head out on foot, in any direction, for several hours in this environment. There's a peacefulness and solitude in it that you can find no where else. The light, the colors, the smells, the absolute quietness, the history. It's pretty enveloping.

I'm sorry, you were just asking about washes lol.

Probably later that afternoon when Mike testified he drove down and arrived there... Pechanga is just north of Fallbrook and quite a drive from Rancho. The better question is why was Chase down in that area and not at another casino

I completely understand. And I'm bummed as well. But I never expected we'd get this.

don't be sorry, that's what I was looking for... was a description or opinion from someone that has been to the area... so when it's actually raining... would that area have been full of water? or have lots of water? By area... I mean where the graves were.

My understanding is that the graves were not exactly where the memorial is though.

I'm not sure this matters? Are you saying that he didn't meet Mike at the house? Confused.

He could have pinged that tower by driving along the 15 as well, Pechanga is not far away.

I will, but I have to put the info together-what I see involves different aspects of the evidence, and it won't be simple to explain. It's not straightforward. But it involves Ryan Smith's impromptu testimony-the DA L.O.V.E.S. Ryan :).

Couldn't have. Not according to Ryan Smith's ping analysis.

No the crosses are right above where the graves were and the wash is several feet away from that and maybe 2-3 foot lower. This wouldn't be an area where there would be standing water either but maybe a few leftover small pools here and there.

I could not see anyone attempting to drive out there during a rain, heavy or otherwise. It would be miserable. And dangerous.

Patrick McStay was arrested for cashing bad checks shortly after the family went missing.. I believe the warrant was out of Louisiana. Should he be charged with murder considering SB withdrew funds? What's funny is I actually recall Patrick McStay being arrested for check fraud regarding a casino? Ring a bell any old timers?

He was on my list of suspects from the get-go.
