To me, it's still rather difficult to believe that neither Merritt nor CJ can remember that evening at all.

Yes, originally CJ said she was at home and saw a call come in that did not register on his cell records, and when faced with that as well as the calls she made to Merritt, she says she must have been remembering another evening (according to search warrants) - why is the 4th such a memory black hole for the both of them? Why was it for Merritt less than 2 weeks later in his interview? Esp. when he had detailed recall of every bit of minutiae leading up to it?

And his way of 'prodding' her memory in that recording is (paraphrasing) 'the way I envision that evening...'?

And if he had been 'at the club house watching movies with the kids', who was at the McStays printing a check made out to Merritt?

BTW, when is the truck video guy (Rudin?) supposed to testify?
What is really pathetic, and will bite Chase in the 🤬🤬🤬, is the story and excuses for that evening keep growing. Now we have Chase helping Cathy to remember that night.

Oh the tangled web he weaves himself into.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the look on Merritt's face when this jury convicts him for the murder of this family.

Yes it’s funny how he has no recollection of that night but now is trying to jog his girlfriends memory.

How does that exactly work?

It's in the search warrants.

If you're going to make that statement, back it up. The search warrant numbers are on the right hand side as shown below. There are approx 400+ pages of warrants.
Be specific. Where does it state CM was a good parent? What warrant is that from?

These statements are grossly contradictory and completely out of context imo. >modsnip - personal attack against another poster<

You're really comparing Chase's parenting to Summer's??

So this man spent months in jail while his wife and children had to rely on Joseph to pay their rent, buy groceries - essentially be 'man of the house' - because daddy got caught stealing. A real role model there.

He printed and forged signatures on checks upwards of $20k from his "best friend" - that he really needed back to afford to pay rent(!!!) - then to gamble all that money away in casinos. At least that's believed. It certainly didn't go to his wife and children.

According The mother of his children he would stay out for days at casinos. I have to wonder what would be going through her head if they were having money issues yet he is at casinos. They shared the same bank account, so she had to have seen that cash flow of $173k coming through the account over the course of that year. Yet by all accounts, the family was living hand to mouth.

Oh then there is that little thing Chase Merritt wants you to overlook - the beating to death his best friend, his wife and two little boys.

Best Father and Man of the Year. He did it all for his children.

Let's hear it for Chase Merritt!!

<modsnip - personalizing> my posts are my opinion.<modsnip - personalizing>

And much of what you posted above has not been proven as of yet. There is still a long way to go in this trial. Sorry that you don't like it that some people want to see ALL of the evidence before being sure that Chase is guilty, and also what he is or isn't guilty of.

ALL IMO.

Because these are the parents of three kids...

Everyone forgets that in addition to whatever else Chase was up to, he was a parent. And from all accounts an involved parent. Juggling three kids and work and all the other stuff, it's like a three ring circus. A parent' s mind is sucked right out of them when at least two of the children are very young-and I believe that two of Chase's children were about the same age as Gianni and Joseph.

BBM

Which makes it more tragic. How do you beat someone else's two innocent little children to death and then go home to your own...

Because he didn’t like them or Summer is the simple answer.

Summer Mcstay is a victim. She's dead, at the hands of a murder. <modsnip>

Chase Merritt is on trial for her murder.

Let's discuss that.

Is Jarvis dense or devious? Maybe she's like Bundys girlfriend, stays home and bakes pies while hubby is out smashing peoples brains in.

If she would have gone to the police early on this trial would be a memory now and the families would be healing. Instead they suffered unbelievable abuse while the corpses moldered out in the desert.

What was she thinking when her husbands employer and family dissapeared? Did she notice Merritts sudden wealth? Whose computer was used to print those checks, will she maintain she was in the dark?

We are talking about the cruel murders of little babes. She is a heartless monster and needs locked up. I hope that she too will face charges someday but its doubtful.

IF this woman had ANY sense at all, she would come clean and put her loser/leech/murderer boyfriend away. Then she could write a book about her life with him, probably make millions of dollars, provide her children a home to live in (instead of an RV) and never clean someone else's house again. Instead, she has chosen to just like him. And he will repay her loyalty, how? What a fool...

Any parent who spends time in jail or gambles away £1000’s when the family is struggling financially is not a “good” dad.

And just because his daughter is supporting him doesn’t make him innocent. It just means she wants to believe the best of her father.

Exactly. It's quite normal. We have seen a myriad of family members of defendants attend the trial, and were there throughout every day.

99 percent of the defendants I've seen on trial were found guilty BARD. Its common for some family members of the defendant to attend the trial. Maybe they want to see the trial evidence for themselves.

Its only natural for family members to want to believe the one they love couldn't ever do such horrific cruel murders even though its proven over, and over again, they do.

What family member would ever want to believe anyone in their family is capable of using a sledgehammer to crush the skulls of two tiny children??

Even if he is convicted BARD, imo, they will continue to be in a state of denial.

Imo

If I was on the jury and they play that recording of Chase yelling at the glass 'the way I now visualize that day happening' I think I would have to try very hard not to laugh out loud.

Hmm I think I have the wrong feed.

Ah it's as crappy as normal. I flicked over to one of L&Cs other trials yesterday just to see the quality of the live feed and it was just as bad. I think it's their equipment that isn't up to the task.

Is anyone watching? I am lost! My feed is showing a different case!o_O

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that! Lol!

Yes, how does that work exactly? Ha
