Or he was keeping in contact with the mother of his children and his children? Some people can separate as a couple AND still do this for the children.

There is really no evidence either way, is there? Assumptions can be made all over the place, but with no evidence, it's just assumptions and opinions. Last I looked, he was not on trial for his lack of stellar parental skills, he is on trial for murder.

And I was balancing out the other view expressed that it appears he had a good relationship with Cathy. If there is no evidence either way there is no reason to take issue with my opinion and not the other one expressed.

It's quite obvious I believe 100% he is guilty of these murders and in that case that would create a worry for him that Cathy might blab after they split up since she falsely alibied him in my opinion.

I haven't heard a reasonable explanation yet for him to have to tell Cathy what she remembered about the night of the 4th and his sudden recollection of the night in question that he once had to ask her to remember for him.

His parenting skills have nothing to do with my post.

Where are these indications? I do know I have seen pics and posts about his eldest daughter. She is poised and lovely. Other than that I haven't seen anything about the little ones. Not that it matters.

I think this is where it is interesting to look at the profiling and staging

IMO this is an organised killer

He took with him, things to do the murder, drove his own truck, turned his phone off

He lured the victims/staged the murder scene, dumping location and crime scene

An extremely important point is that he involved himself in the investigation - the very first person to do so - so he could be on top of developments

I actually disagree with the prosecution that the motive was greed.

The overkill and likely sexual assault of summer speaks against it

Because Joey was working out an arrangement whereby Chase would be able to write checks for himself and Metro. This would free Joey up, as their business was growing. Joey could always put a stop payment or challenge a check if Chase did write an unauthorized check.

It actually seems like a solution to the problem of Chase and Summer not getting along. And according to the defense Joey was changing over from an on-line program to desktop only, so I believe he was training Chase while the on-line program was still in effect.

I think the defense's version of this makes much more sense than the DA's. Especially given the amounts of the checks written.

I think the defense version sounds like a delirious fantasy. Sure, let me put this known felon and thief in charge of my checkbook with no legal authority and I'll just remind him to pay me back the thousands he decides to take out of my account while he doesn't do the work I'm already paying him for. Uh huh.

I am always sceptical about the idea that "this wasn't a good enough reason to murder a whole family"

Someone did actually murder them for no good reason. I mean what reason could make sense to bash in the heads of those wee boys?

You were asked to provide the quotes from the search warrants which show this.

I don't think it is down to us to trawl the warrants looking for vague material you say is in there to support your contention.

It makes him look like he has a strong motive for murder. And the check created on the 4th, AT JOEY"S HOME makes Chase look like the killer, in my opinion. I think the jury might think so too.

Whoever was there that night, creating those checks, was the killer, in my opinion. And it appears that it was Chase doing so.

It was his forensic screwup - combined with the video of his truck and the backdating
