It was disclosed that CM gave a voluntary DNA sample. If he's really the killer that's quite the calculated risk he took.
Not really a risk since we have a witness corroborating the fact that Summer was lamenting the fact that CM was spending too much time at their house and therefore his DNA would be evident throughout the home but not the Trooper, which he claims he was never in but we know he was as his DNA was there too; on the steering wheel, the radio etc.

How do you figure that? CM admitted to being in the Trooper.

No he did not! In fact he told LE he had never been inside the Trooper. His DNA was all over it indicating that not only had he been inside it but he had driven it. Steering wheel, gear shift, radio and IIRC the ac controls.

Yes, I believe, IIRC, that his attorneys showed a diagram explaining how his DNA was distributed to the steering wheel---he shook hands with Joey, then Joey opened the car and touched the steering wheel---VOILA---DNA Redistributed

I suggest that you go back and listen to todays testimony and pay particular attention to that of the detective that took CM's DNA sample.

From the preliminary hearing:

A He had been in it on at least one occasion or more. And the last time he could immediately recall being in the Isuzu Trooper was weeks before our interview on February 17th of 2010, when he went to play paintball with Joseph.
Q But he indicated that he was the front passenger during that time?
A Yes.

Was it mentioned again today? I missed some of it with the feed going off and wasn't able to sit here and listen the whole time (was listening from another room and the volume sucks lol )

Yes, pretty much of what was said at the prelim that you have posted above.

Regardless of what has been said in court, CM initially denied ever being in the Trooper. The facts sometimes speak for themselves...

This contradicts what CM told detectives early on. Contradictions are good! It will seal the deal when he is found guilty.

The officer in court today, Dugal, was the first detective on the case. If he is saying CM said he was in the Trooper, who did he deny it to? I'm not disagreeing with you, if there is evidence that he denied it, I'm curious :)

There is some information that we are going to hear that we may have thought we knew all these years, but in fact, maybe they were not true or maybe something that is true that no one believed.

But that info from the preliminary hearing is also coming from Dugal, who was the very first detective on the case. There was no one in LE asking him questions before Dugal.

But as it turns out the bodies and murder weapon were found with DNA but apparently not his.
I don't recall anything being stated about DNA being found on a weapon? Bra, strap, Summer's sweat pants, that's all I remember.

It's not too much of a stretch of imagination to think that Chase would have been savvy enough to don gloves before he wielded that hammer.

My apologies as I was incorrectly posting that CM stated he had never been in the Trooper. It’s been 9 years so difficult to remember the details precisely. CM is lying and as I said his DNA was all over the interior, in a manner only consistent with driving. Time will tell but I stand by my opinion that he drive the Trooper despite his denial.

Maybe this is in regards to one of the search warrants that was not disclosed?!

No he denied driving it. In his interview, the one played in court, he stated he was in it when they went to play paintball.

I really hoped to have a much stronger case being presented. There is so much reasonable doubt, lingering with every point the State attempts to make.
Have faith. It's only the first week. I think we'll be surprised with the evidence in the end.

Your statement is the epitome of a paradox.

That's correct, according to the OS, bodies, murder weapon and DNA, were found at the gravesite, with the DNA being present on some of the clothing items.
