Apologies if this has been addressed but it came to mind. Did John have a Clipper card or other transit pass? If so, is there a possibility usage is tracked anywhere in a way that might provide useful information?

I remember someone asked about this quite early and the answer was "No." Good idea, though.

I think what they are asking is for people to leave a message about John, rather than just look. So you do need an account for that. The instructions she linked had more detail. But there's no harm in looking!

I just updated it! Lol I'll add details to the new sighting in the morning though as I'm on my phone and will only mess it up! The pin is added though.

Unfortunately, he did not have a clipper card. But it's a good thought!

In my opinion the lady who saw him near the 32nd Ave entrance is likely more reliable than the 4:00 p.m. sighting (she didn't seem sure). If we discount the 4:00 p.m. sighting, I think it's likely that he continued on toward the Presidio and didn't double back. I would branch out, as I'm sure you're doing.

I would also be sure to check with whoever lives at his old residence in the area, if it's still there. I don't know why I'm so hung up on this, but I guess it's just something I would do if I were John.

Yes, sorry I didn't mention this earlier. John's brother stopped there and talked with the people who live there now. He left a flyer with them. They didn't have any new information to contribute as of yet, but they know to be on the lookout for him.

Also, he must have gotten hungry and thirsty at some point, so check groceries or sandwich shops.

Good idea! We've hit up a few, but I'm not sure we've gotten them all. We'll make this a priority.

Does he know anyone in Marin county?

We haven't been able to think of anyone so far, but the family is still racking their brains in case they remember someone. We haven't given up on this idea.

It's ok it's only 1am lol I'm a night owl, always have been. My body clock is a wee bit messed up. I'll probably be in bed by 3 if I'm good! It works for me though as I care for my paralysed mum and I get the morning off as her professional carers get her up and washed etc. The wee hours when's she's fast asleep is ME time, TV, sleuthing and the ID channel

I was watching the Facebook video and read the update on the other sighting on the trail.

What if he was mugged or something? He looked nicely dressed to go walking on the trail like someone said. What if someone thought he had money? (Completely unrelated to court case.)

For reference. The lady said she was coming down those steps and John (if it was him) was going up.

I'm local and have some time available if help is needed. Trying to navigate the site on my phone is sometimes tricky, so if there is an area where people may volunteer can someone direct me? I can also just print and post flyers assuming that would not hurt but I am available to do more too.

We are trying to contact people who posted instagram photos from near the locations John was last seen on the day he was last seen. (Thank you for the suggestions here!) It's slow work, because Instagram won't allow you to paste the same comment on multiple photos so each one has to be tweaked a little. Would anyone here have a little time to help with this? I guess that is due to some conversations or behaviors he had prior to this. I was wondering if he is an anxious person. He may have gotten really spooked and is operating now in a sort of a ' blind panic' and not really thinking all that logically.

If I was mentally troubled and feeling spiritually troubled, I would seek out a large church.
