Anything new?

I keep googling and checking SM to no avail. :( I hope others will do the same so nothing new slips through the cracks. Very sad for all involved.

I wonder why there's no news or updates, and whatever happened to Joy?

Yes, no news concerns me. I also wonder why the $10,000 reward is only mentioned on the FB page. It could be that they think someone watching FB knows something, and might come forward to collect the reward, so they don't need the media. Or, the FTC story is such a huge distraction that they don't want to deal with the media. Or, the media may no longer be interested. I'm just speculating, though. They did such an amazing job publicizing this at first, and Joy was terrific. They may just feel too deflated to do more publicity right now, and are working behind the scenes. I hope they are making progress. All of us want John safe with his family.

With all of the time that's passed, John could be anywhere by now.....I think the only way now to find him would be to air the story on Dateline or an Unsolved Mysteries type show.

@DatelineNBC responded and said they will try to feature John's case in some way!

Dateline has the resources to find almost anyone! That is great news.

Nice work, Kimi! :loveyou: The Dateline Missing in America series is great. They featured Stephanie Warner (my signature case) in December 2014. It's a short segment, with lots of viewers, so John's face will get out there. Being short, they probably won't dwell on the distracting FTC-bankruptcy case and just focus on a man whose family needs him.

Here's Stephanie's.

On 4-25-16, visitors to the area were walking along the beach when they discovered a body that had washed ashore about a mile south of the Pismo Beach Pier. The body is that of an adult male. Because the body was partially decomposed, it is believed to have been in the water for some time

It's south of where John went missing. I'm not sure how the currents work. It's someone's love one though. :-(

Ugh how sad :( :( :(

Will have to keep an eye out for an ID.

I Couldn't imaging being the ones to discover the body. Hopefully no children were around...

Pismo Beach is half way to L.A. It's not John Beck but a young person who jumped off the pier. Very sad. I don't have the link right now.

Terrible :(

At least the family will have some closure, they must be devastated.
