Found Alive CA - Joshua Thiede, 29, Los Angeles, 11 Feb 2018

He was last seen the day before the 911 call was made?

I wonder if he even made the 911 call - I believe on most cell phones, you can make emergency calls without unlocking it. Very possible someone found it. Has the cell phone been located?

I just watched my local LA channel 7 news. Friend of his said last 911 call was made at 2:30 Pm. The 911 call was a hangup their was no transcript. She thinks possible foul play. His phone pinged in a couple of areas in the downtown before it was turned off or battery died.

Isn't LA going to be extra busy this weekend with the NBA All Star Weekend stuff going on? I have family there for this and they say it is pretty crazy right now. I am sure that sort of thing brings a lot of people into the city for reasons that we hate to hear about. This is going to tie up a lot of LE man power, too.
If he was logged into Uber/Lyft driver's app, they should have been able to see where he was prior to being logged out? Then using cctv in that area to see if it can be determined if he was a victim of something?
Maybe the 911 was a pocket dial? I hope he is safe!

His mother says he lives in Los Angeles with two roommates, and that he last drove out of his apartment garage on the evening of Feb. 11, according to his key fob. Someone called 911 from his phone at 2:32 p.m. the next day.

She said her son makes ends meet by driving for Uber and Lyft, frequently picking up passengers in the Koreatown area. She said he has been working on a prototype for an organic shoe made of pineapple and hemp.

bbm Could he have crashed somewhere, was unconscious, and woke up the next day long enough to dial 911? I know it's probably farfetched but this was the first thing that came to my mind.

The reporter in the video (per your link) now has me wondering if there's been any bank/financial activity.

“Kevin Young told me… not only did his close friend Josh Thiede disappear but so did Thiede’s car, his phone, Facebook and Instagram accounts… all in the last week.”

BBM - this is odd.

His social media accounts haven’t been deactivated, but there has been no activity on them.

He planned to donate a portion of the proceeds to the homeless.

There must be CCTV that we don't know about. Without LE knowing if there is foul play, would they be checking CCTV from where he was last seen and other places? I don't know what it takes for LE to start gathering it in missing persons cases.

He dialed 911, now he's missing. I would hope that LE tries everything to find out what happened.

He was just getting ready to launch a new business. Does he have a partner? If so, what has that person been up to for the week building up to Joshua going missing, when 911 was called, and since?

BBM ... Wish they would specify the time. Was it before or after the Wilshire sighting?

We don't know that Joshua himself drove out, we only know the key fob went out. Anyone could have been driving the car and using the key fob and making the 911 call. ANY ONE!

Thank you for the info!

'Just wish that dang reporter had been more clear.

I still wonder about financial activity.

Very true. I hope they have camera footage proving he is in fact the person that drove that car out of there. Also, it’s odd that he got disconnected from 911 I wonder if he called 911 hoping for help and his phone died nearly immediately. I hope that they are looking to see where the phone last pinged.
