I‘m preparing myself. I can feel another layer growing over my heart as I type. Calm before the storm…

Per the trailer, this is where they pin her parking.

I wonder where the water level was in relation to that, that night.

We need a bigger map, to overlay.

They seemed very calm and professional in everything I have watched so far, so I share your trepidation. I'm glad they found her, whatever happens next. So young, and so sad.

Hmmmm... I'm not feeling too good about AWP's video from the small preview that's available to everyone. Here's why...

First off, they are interviewing some guy that said he saw her with someone else at 11AM, hung over or had a really rough something or other. I can't understand the dude. For starters... 11AM when??? The day OF the party because it definitely wasn't her he saw the day after. Unless what he's saying is true, and her car wasn't submerged the night of the party.

So AWP is apparently implicating some guy in a van parked out there pointing out where he was parked, and where she was parked. I wonder what LE will think about that?

Things that make ya go hmmm.....

I remember there was at least one false sighting of KR. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if it’s another case of mistaken identity. Time will tell I guess!

Thing is, you can't go by the trailer as they're just soundbites. Could be completely different when listened to in it's entirety.

I think everyone is reading WAY too much into the trailer AWP released. It seems as though it's going to be detailing what they were doing during the search process, who they talked to in helping to locate her (the guy that said he saw her at 11AM), what they were thinking (if someone killed a 16 year old it's messed up), the eventual discovery of finding her, and then their theory of what happened to her (hence the comment, "murder or accident" in the title).

It doesn't mean the guy that saw her at the other camp area at 11AM actually did, but just that he was one of many who they interviewed in the process of trying to find her, and they included it to highlight the confusion, uncertainty, and theories everyone had about what had happened to her.

One would hope they haven't sensationalized the story.

@Gemmie, I could understand the dude being interviewed by AWP and here is my transcription starting at 0:08:

"She was either hung over or had a really rough day. She looked distressed."

The text on the screen while the dude is speaking is: "HE SPOTTED HER AROUND 11:00AM WITH SOMEONE ELSE."

IMO I presume that means 8/6 at 11:00am... but we have no idea what this means.

Without having the full video / context, the dude could be talking about somebody else - NOT necessarily KR!

ETA: last line.

Absolutely. When I went back and rewatched the video, it seems as though they were recording their movements from the beginning of the search to get a better idea of where to focus.

It will be interesting to watch the video in its entirety. I have too much faith in AWP to think they would be careless with pertinent information regarding the investigation.

I hope.... JMO.

And not sure if others have seen this... It took my fifth or sixth viewing to catch a pop up text box that lasts < 1 second.

It says "Potential Sighting". That should have been on display in the trailer for a lot longer than it is!!

This could very well be describing the erroneous sighting that an OP cited ^^^.

It makes me wonder if AWP is working with LE on this.
I was just getting ready to say that! Besides finding justice for Kiely, it provides backup to LE for not finding the car in the first place restoring their reputation. People respond to AWP. IIRC, the tip to AWP leading to them to finding Kiely was an anonymous tip.

Me too. Of course, the bold print across the video saying “accident or murder?” is kind of sensational.

Oh, they did, IMO.
Yeah.

I thought the trailer, at least, had a different tone from their previous videos. But then, I think this was their first live case (as opposed to cold cases) wasn't it? Maybe that had a lot to do with it?

<modsnip> I am more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and look forward to seeing the complete video.

I think most people here as well as elsewhere hold them in very high regard. So I am more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and look forward to seeing the complete video.
You can see it now. I saw it and my opinion did a 180.

Remind me, the picture of her car being pulled out, it was clearly the drivers side window that was broken. Or have I lost any semblance of my mind I still had..?

The trailer even cites ‘murder or accident’ in the title - I agree, they should not release their information / film
until LE completes its investigation - unless maybe they have strong reason to believe there is some kind of cover up.

I haven’t watched the full video yet, but I always thought that LE broke the driver’s side window when they recovered the vehicle. AWP explains in some of their previous videos that it’s a delicate process. Like another poster said, they usually cover all windows if they’re compromised to seal in the evidence.

I was also thinking more about it, and the back of a CR-V isn’t big like my Pilot. I don’t think, correct me if I’m wrong CR-V owners, a body couldn’t float and end up in the very back where the hatch is.

I would think if Kiely was driving, crashed, and tried to get out, the driver’s window would have been down. Right?
