If the windows on the vehicle weren't covered/secured before removing the car from water, it is completely feasible that items inside the car could have floated out.

Amateur opinion and speculation
Sounds pretty good to me.

Let's say it wasn't secured... Then go back and retrieve alllllll the evidence.

I am shocked by this, I don't even know what to call it.

It may be considered MSM but it's pretty iffy IMHO. It's up there (or down there) with the Daily Mail, etc. Other posts about her laptop have been removed from other sources. It makes me wonder if the US Sun posts are next (and should be IMO). Sure, it's fun to read but as far as factual and sleuthing... they muddy the water IMHO.

Overall, we rate The US Sun Right Biased based on story selection and editorial bias that favors the right. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to overly sensationalized headlines, failed fact checks, and the promotion of misinformation.

Source media bias factcheck: The US Sun
As for here at WS mods consider it MSM.

Of course i don't doubt the Roadside Assitant's account but I have some thoughts on her cellphone. Its confirmed her cellphone last pinged by Prosser Lake the evening of the party. i believe it pinged at 11:33pm or 12:33am (I don't remember the exact time right now.) Then if the RA assisted with her vehicle then wouldn't her phone also ping there where the RA assisted her and the guy she was with? IMO it should. I wonder what LE makes of that? IMO that may be a doozy to entertain such a confusing element. What to make of that?????

I am puzzled by LE saying they should wrap up their investigation and have their report by November? That sounds to me that they have a conclusion, versus and ongoing open investigation that may go on for a time that is unpredictable? Why not simply say this is an ongoing investigation, so any FOIA documents will not be available until the investigation is closed? Does this imply that they have concluded she drove herself into the lake on accident and drown?

And one more thing, if you are going to try to swim up, and out of a car/lake wouldn't that be very hard with athletic shoes or boots on (not sure if it has been determined what she had on) as AWP they saw her shoe/s first?

I don't think I would be concerned about my footwear to swim. There is only so much time to get OUT.

Hopefully LE videotaped it.
Yes, I suspect during the span of time between AWP finding KR's car at about noon on 8/21 and when the FBI pulled it out around dusk, LE was (hopefully) meticulously documenting the underwater scene with video to inventory items and their location in and around KR's car. What else would they be doing?

Has anyone seen / heard that stated by LE?

You know, @5W's, IIRC during the WS approved public AWP video of their finding, when they were interviewing roadside assistant Nick, I vividly recall NIck stating that 'the woman said her phone was dead and so she / they / he (?) used the guy's phone to call for service.' [paraphrased]

Yes, you are correct I remember that now. Well, then obviously that guy's cellphone can be traced unless its a burner phone. Or a stolen phone? IDK one would think if everything was legit why would Keily be uncomfortable around that guy and move away from himas witnessed by the RA?

I delted my above post so please ignore. But I do wonder if among the items found was her cellphone.
I have wondered the same and there has been no confirmation either way in any reputable source that I've found.
I also wonder if the keys were in the ignition and if the car was in the "run/on" position. I know my vehicle will not allow the steering wheel to be moved as they were moving hers upon removal without the keys in run position.

As the car came out they were turning the steering wheel to straighten it out. hmmm. Maybe they turned them?

In your experience (fellow WS Members) does saying "nothing" mean they do not believe it was an accident? This was my initial opinion until I heard they had not responded to picking up the found evidence.

Why wouldn't they want evidence if they do not believe it was an accident? What am I missing?

EBM for clarity.

I was thinking certain shoes might make it very difficult, and weigh someone down. I wouldn't worry about my shoes either, unless they were going to stop me from getting to the surface as fast as I can.

Very true!
Thinking about my Doc Marten platform boots---I'd never get out of there.
Summer footwear in the mountains dirt parking lot party, I believe KR was wearing sneaks.
Thanks.

I also wonder if she had a phone charger in her car? Most people do. If she had a phone charger then why not use it as her phone was dead at the time the RA stated that she said that

I did some digging on the Nevada County Daily reporting log and found some interesting things.

A few weird tips before she was found, there were more but they didn't seem relevant now.

The day after she was found, someone called the police to follow up on a tip about their boyfriend. They had already suspected him, but I guess after her body was found they felt he was behaving even more suspiciously.

And we have the report for Kiely's belongings being found.

yes, In the AWP video...

6:09 Doug of AWP: ...(Did) you just show up?

Nick of road service: Uh, I did call and nothing went through.
It went straight to voicemail.

6:21 Nick of road service: "She did state that her phone was dead... and she used whatever guy's, whoever this was, she used his phone so that's how she did
get in contact with us'

I think that given the windows being partially down on the back driver's side, broken out on the passenger's side and then upon extraction driver's side out, some evidence may have come out while they pulled they vehicle out. Doug from AWP said there were diver's there but drone footage did not show any retrieval of items from the bottom of the lake when they surfaced from the lake. This case has some very odd components. Doug has also stated it was confirmed to be her car by the Roadside Assistance when he was called to assist on Saturday around 11:00 a.m.. When asked directly if he believes it was Kiely, he says "yes, I do". I want to know how they were called. Vehicle call for assistance? How did they try calling her back if her phone was dead? Whose phone did they reach for the service? Anyone have links to these answers?

I know Doug and AWP is approved and his interview yesterday was on a popular YT channel. If I can snip that one minute where he is answering pertinent questions, I will.

Mods- May I snip Zav Gal interview with Doug from AWP? EBM
If I may focus on these parts of your remarkable entry,

"Doug has also stated it was confirmed to be her car by the Roadside Assistance when he was called to assist on Saturday around 11:00 a.m..
When asked directly if he believes it was Kiely, he says "yes, I do".

My question is Does this mean Roadside Nick identified the car's license plate and that it took place on the Saturday after the party ?

"I want to know how they were called."
As you know from @RedHaus, Roadside Nick said that the girl used her guy companion's phone.

"I know Doug and AWP is approved and
his interview yesterday was on a popular YT channel.

Is that the interview where above you said that
Doug said that the car was serviced by Roadside Nick
was confirmed to be K's ?

If you can snip it, that would be great. Thnks
Sorry, if this is rehashing, I have been following along
and I must have dozed off if this was old news.

Doug answering questions

It begins at 26:39 to approximately 32:00. There are more Q&A's which you can listen to. Very elucidating. Thank you for snipping his part of this incredibly long interview. There is no transcript option available.
