I wonder how long it's going to take. Wonder if Vegas has a book going on how long the jury will be out? Didn't catch the prosecution's demonstration, but Court TV was quite impressed. (Got there late).

It will be interesting to see how long the jury deliberates. It seems that after nearly 5 months, and the constant repetition of what seems to be the same thing during the trial, they might all have been fairly clear about their judgments of the facts when they went in to deliberate.

What do you think? Have any thoughts?

Honestly, I will be surprised if they deliberate for more than 8 hours. Perhaps that is wishful thinking. My hope is that they get unanimous on the guilty verdict in short order. Enough is enough.

Here's an interesting article at Court tv that tells about the Judge's admonishment & gag order of Rachelle & Phil this morning, and that the jury has selected their foreman, Juror #10 a civil engineer. They've already asked to see the gun.

W, Eight hours, I wish!

I was thinking being the trial was FOREVER the jury would take a vote and even if they all agreed on a G verdict which is what I am sure praying for, the jury would still take the time to review all the evidence, or make a good show of doing so. Say 3 or 4 days or so is what I think it will be.

Jury forperson is suppose to be Juror #10, the note taker. Remember the big note taker in the SP trial? NOT A few days ago he was on notebook 13 or so. So as the MD/JD wanted to do, review all the notebooks, and if this notetaker wants to do the same thing, we could be here waiting FOREVER!

One thing which really bothered me, was when Judge Fidler decided not to take any action against LKB for her remarks about the 5 PBAs the prosecution presented to the jury. Holy Moly there were 14 all together, I didn't know that was the number. I trust this judge tho and I am sure he knows a heck of a lot more than I do. Just would have been super to see LKB not get away with mis-information. She was so full of mis-information. :liar:

Could you believe the audacity of Rochelle or is it Rachelle, today talking back to the judge? Well she had to be stupid for marrying Phil, but she is even more stupid than I had thought. Fidler sure bit her head off LOL :croc:

Now we wait!

Another thing which worries me tho, is if PS was able to pay off a juror. Hey it's possible, right? What makes me really worry about this is the fact that he looked so G to me, and little lurking thoughts of him bolting---and he didn't take off---yet! I think that everytime I see him walking into court with his two really really BIG bodyguards. If he pays those two big looking guys to protect him, whose to say he wouldn't try to get to a juror?

I cannot see Spector having any motive to purposely murder her in cold blood.

She went home with him but did not have sex with him....many have killed for less motive than that.

That's true, but I disagree that its what happened here. With his obvious habit of pulling guns on women who refused to have sex with him, there's no reason to believe that his motive would change and he'd all of a sudden kill one woman for doing what so many had done before. Besides, this was Hollywood. There are plenty of women out there willing to sleep with Phil Spector or any other ugly old man with a ton of money.

They were in that courtroom for four months. If they finish before Thursday, I'd be surprised.

I agree with you Jeana ... wishful thinking in hoping it would be a quick verdict. And worry that another Hollywooder will get away with murder.

BTW Wrinkles, thank-you for your wonderful updates through out the trial. I obviously don't post often but sign on for the great insights and updates ...

I do hope that this jury has enough common sense to know that a women is just not going to shoot herself in the face(being that Lana was pretty) nor go to some strangers house that she barely knows and then kills herself.

It defies all normal thinking. The defense is sure tying VERY hard to convince everyone on the jury that the victim is to blame, and psycho Phil had nothing to do with it. But from the "dirty" tricks they have pulled so far, it screams of desperation and nothing but desperation.

I say "accident" meaning that I don't believe it was an execution-style murder. Anyone taking out a gun and holding it close to someone's face and having it discharge has committed murder. However, what I am saying is that I believe he could have convinced a jury that they were both seriously drunk, they had some type of "sexual contact" and that the gun went off accidentally while they were both grabbing at it. He then would be looking at either negligent homicide or manslaughter (voluntarily or involuntarily) and neither of those would have him serving 25 to life. He and/or his attorneys made a HUGE mistake at the beginning of this trial when they claim she killed herself, because I believe we ALL know that's not what happened.
