Hrones said his client could remember "bits and pieces," including a childhood visit to Mt. Rushmore in a station wagon and a Scottish nanny.

Hrones said his client is "fine, calm, concerned, very rational. ... Naturally, he's very concerned being locked up in prison." He said Rockefeller had requested that he bring him a book on the rules of baseball and a book on Paris during World War I.

He also said that Rockfeller wanted to tell his story to the media, but Hrones wanted to decide the appropriate setting and ground rules.

The more I am reading on this guy, the more I am wondering if it could possibly be true that he doesn't remember his past.

He is eccentric.
He has had difficulties holding jobs- probably because he sets himself for jobs where he claims experience that he doesn't have.
He has difficulty relating to people. There is talk of his inappropriate behavior with women at one point, wouldn't let his dau play with other kids out of fear of what she might catch. People have talked about him being kinda weird.

Could he be a mental illness case and parts of his life being hallucination? Forgetting his past life continually and then off to reinvent himself? One argument that would be against that is that he did keep in touch with his mother for a while after he had left, and he did talk to the family in the US where he had previously stayed after he had changed his name. So at least for a while and at least part of the time he did maintain contact and memory of his past.

like what happened to lord lucan who vanished after killing his nanny in london instead of killing his wife who was the intended victim of the crime did he vanish under a new id with a new life history or did he just killed himself in the english channel after the murder of the nanny.

Martin, I'm a collector of 1st edition books.......Mystery, Detective genre.
I only buy what is listed as Haycraft Queen Cornerstones, a list of the best of the best all over the world

. Most of them are English, Agatha Christie (I have all but one 1st ed.) and would probably die to own " The Murder of Roger Ackroyd"...........but the damn thing is selling for around $1,600 for a decent copy. English Edition.

Was there ever a book written about Lord Lucan.......? I'd like to get a copy is there was. Let me know.

mysteriew, I don't see any signs of Mental Illness here. This guy is bright, shrewd and everything he has done is carefully planned out. He love's himself. He likes what he does, but just don't get in his way!

I am sure he murdered that couple in San Marino CA..........had to.
AND I'm sure they'll find out that he's knocked of a couple of others.

Not a GOOD guy, but interesting to read about!

That Sandra Boss address will almost certainly not be the woman involved in this case. The likelihood is that, if she is an American citizen, she will not appear on the British electoral register, and even if she did, the area in which that address is located is low value, mainly social housing and not the neighborhood where someone of that background would live.

I thought Sean Connery was one of her neighbors.....I may have misspelled his name...for sure I am not Knoxx Webster..now that is a joke

You are probably right. Most likely he is just a man who is a con man- and if so he has talent in it. But if you don't look at the suspected murder, there is one thing missing. So far we aren't hearing fraud- neither in business, in ID theft, or in multiple marriages. Though I do have to say that they don't seem to have found out how he supported himself prior to his marriage.

I can only think of one disorder that might match up here and it is rare and highly disputed outside of psychiatric circles- but it is accepted in psychiatric circles. The only one that I see matching is Disassociative Personality Disorder- or split personality.

DA may add charges vs. ‘Clark’

The Suffolk District Attorney’s Office is planning to revise the criminal complaint against Clark Rockefeller to reflect his true identity and may add charges of lying to police about his name, authorities said.

Stephen Hrones, the lawyer representing the man calling himself Rockefeller, said his client could add nothing to the debate over his identity.

He said Rockefeller suffers severe memory loss and, prior to 1993, claims only fragmentary American childhood memories, though he acknowledges speaking German. But the origin of these memories as well as his language ability lies among the wreckage of his client’s shattered memory.

It Takes a Hothead?
WHY DOES IT TAKE A CLICHÉ TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THE PROBLEM OF FATHERS' RIGHTS?

But we continue to pick the wrong poster boys to highlight the problems of fathers' rights. Most recently, frustrated fathers have been captivated by the plight of the mysterious millionaire Clark Rockefeller, who allegedly kidnapped his 7-year-old daughter during a supervised visit in Boston on July 27. By every account, Rockefeller was devastated when he lost custody last December of young Reigh (aka "Snooks"). When Reigh's mother, Sandra Boss, a senior consultant at McKinsey & Co., relocated to the firm's London office, Rockefeller was granted visitation rights on the condition that visits be supervised by a social worker. Apparently his recent visit was his first, despite that fact that before the divorce he was the primary caregiver.
