Nothing aside from TVSCUM's fire update. What's with that?

I was wondering about the probate hearing that happened on 11/17 - if there was news on what might have happened & if there was another hearing... sorry I should have been more specific! :)

from the link above.

Abrams’ children were “informed and believe” that “[T]he Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is investigating Mr. Harper as a potential perpetrator of the crime or crimes that led to [Abrams’] disappearance,” according to the probate court petition.

Harper, 72, has not been named a suspect in Abrams’ disappearance by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, which has been investigating the missing-person case.

A hearing on a request to remove Harper as trustee of the ranch and other estate properties was set for May 9, 2022 in Palm Springs probate court.

Thanks for the updates. More upsetting news connected to the ranch and KH. Wonder if this will prompt more investigation into Dia's disappearance. It spurs my own suspicious thoughts. Makes me wonder if that woman who died was there when Dia went missing and maybe knew something. It's another odd mysterious event to do with the ranch, and now KH again. JMO though.

The plot thickens...buckle up sleuths.....

Have they said "who" the person is that died? Not that other Diane - or Diana - part partner in the estate? That's who I thought it might be....

@tvscum ’s link says “The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.”

It described the victim as a “ranch hand”, so it doesn’t seem like it’d be DF. IMO

As if this case wasn’t already mysterious, another turn. Oh my.

True - it did say "ranch hand" - and mentioned it was a woman. Must be someone "new" then.

My condolences to the friends and family of this unnamed Bonita Vista Ranch victim.

If Life Flight was unable to respond because of bad weather, why would anybody go for a ride on an ATV, and then go fast enough to flip it? I'm missing the logic here.
Would love to hear the story from KH. I wonder where, and why, he (apparently) left at such a critical time?

Merry Christmas, friends of Dia Abrams!

As far as I know, DF is still in Florida where she went to take care of her parents. The weather has been terrible, so I agree with @coastal in questioning why be zipping around in an ATV? I wonder if, being a ranch hand, she got around the ranch that way doing ranch chores? I think people wear helmets riding ATVs, but I guess you could still get a broken neck? What was her connection to KH?

Just want to point out that this ATV accident, called in by no other than KH, is now described as a "suspicious death" and is being investigated by "homicide detectives".

On Friday evening, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department released the following incident update, which characterized the the incident as a "suspicious death investigation" but made no mention of any arrest:

"On 12-23-21, at 5:39 p.m., Hemet Station deputies responded to the 58000 block of Bonita Vista Rd., reference a suspicious death investigation initially believed to have been a traffic fatality. Upon arriving, deputies located a deceased female in the open area of a large private property with unexplained injuries. A crime scene was secured, and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. Investigators remained on scene until the late afternoon hours of 12-24-21, due to the terrain and inclement weather. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Wow. Just wow. I'm crossing my fingers that in getting to the bottom of this death, police get closer to discovering the truth about Dia.

And wasn't it said - that Harper left before LE got there? Did I read that article correctly - about the first ones that were posted here. Suspicious??!!

Don't tell me...let me guess. Harper was once again the only one there when it happened. If that proves true...well you know! This is starting to feel a bit like O.J. where everyone feels he got away with a major crime only to step on a land mine later. This kind of thing seems to follow certain people. Also, I'm just running things through my mind. Who would want to work there after all that has happened? She was an employee? Not something I'd seek out given the history of that ranch and what happened to Dia. To be alone with Harper? She had to know his history! I just wonder if she didn't come on to him so she could spy on Harper and he found out. Nothing would surprise me at this point.

Food for thought...now that I'm sitting here thinking about all this. I have a question for all my sleuth friends out there. Given this whole story of Dia Abrams and you know who. Ask yourself this question...the question that haunts me from time to time. What are the chances that a man in his 70s killed a woman and had history of abusing females but never killed anyone else in his life. Why in your 70s would you begin if you had this inside you your entire life? Do any of you think that a man like that may have struck before? I mean he has not been found guilty of anything yet but let's just say a man in general in the same scenario. The Money, the property made him all of a sudden in his 70s become a murderer? Not too sure about this. And given all that has happened...seems to be pretty good at it for a first timer. Our guy has only been on our radar for pretty short time and already has two dead bodies associated with him while alone with them. Is there something deeper here?

@stuntpuppy - I would think it "could" have been some kind an accident with Dia. And him knowing about his history of abuse - decided to "take" her somewhere else - JMO. But than you never know - maybe he has never been caught - maybe he does have prior murders in his history....

That's what I recall as well but the article has since been updated and I can't find the original version. I wonder why he couldn't be reached 20 minutes after calling 911, and whether he was really on the property when he called. There was not even 40 minutes between the call and when responders reported the victim was dead.

ATV fatality reported at Idyllwild ranch of missing woman, Abrams | cbs8.com

The call for assistance came in just after 5 p.m. on December 23 from 58111 Bonita Vista Road in Mountain Center. The reporting party was Keith Harper...

Dispatchers also had trouble reconnecting with the reporting party...

“The phone number for the original [reporting party] keeps going to an answering machine for American Storage, unable to get anything further from them,” a dispatcher reported at 5:23 p.m.
...
Around 5:40 p.m., responders reported the woman was dead on arrival.

Here's the press release from the Sheriff's Department. Nothing that hasn't already been reported but "unexplained injuries" is certainly interesting. Didn't take them long to categorize them as unexplained so I am thinking it has to be something like a stab or gunshot wound that in no way could be related to a supposed ATV rollover.

I too went back to the article - and you are right - it was updated and left out that original version - !! Why I wonder....
