OMG.. they are interviewing a lady on the news tonight who is making it sound like Maddy should have known better or her Mom should've taught her better. Disgusting. And yes I'm emailing the news station.

I feel the same way. Are we just supposed to raise our kids to be suspicious of everyone, everywhere, all the time and never go to anyone else's house? No birthdays and slumber parties? I understand that's extreme but if there's no way for us to know what are we supposed to do? And what about parents of kids like these? I wouldn't know what to look for other than the obvious arson and animal abuse.... Very sad indeed.

When I sent my daughter to slumber parties I was careful to find out if there were going to be older siblings there too. I never broached the subject of the father or stepfather---but statistically speaking they are often the perps themselves. And I never let her sleep over somewhere where I did not know the parents and feel good about them.

But obviously you cannot totally prevent every bad thing from happening.

It is much more difficult to raise children in this world than I ever dreamed of when they were safe in my womb. I guess education is the only answer to keep our children safe. I have always tried to be proactive in what I taught my children about the dangers this world can offer but I am feeling simply lucky after following many of these cases. It makes me mad we have to give our babies a peek into such a dark place because of how ill others are.

Here is the thing with that line of thinking...

You also have kids (and adults for that matter) who have committed similar crimes who were very outgoing and not quiet...but people still had NO idea these things were going on inside of them. There have been plenty of cases where the perp was described as friendly, outgoing, social, etc. Yet, no one knew. Quiet does not equal guarded and troubled, just as outgoing does not equal open and honest. All personalities commit these crimes.
I never said quiet equals to guarded and troubled. Always. But in some cases, quiet people are guarded and troubled, like in this case.

But you were able to get a link. I imagine anyone can find someone to give them a link then?

I respectfully disagree.

You have to know what you are looking for.

You have to seek it out.

You have to open the link.

A sick person looks for sadistic, ritualistic, abusive, death inducing snuff 🤬🤬🤬🤬. A normal 15 year old does not just type 🤬🤬🤬🤬 into the internet and find it. With the millions of sites and pictures, you would specifically have to go looking for it.

Whoever "gets" a link from someone, is getting a link from someone that Searched and sleuthed it out.

IMO, you are being argumentative about this one. A normal child does not just ask around for someone to give a link to someone raping a child. They just don't. It takes a very demented, sick individual to lust after this kind of thing and seek it out.

This is not normal. You have to remember that us websleuthers are exposed to so much more than your average joe. What we know can be found is not the thoughts of anyone walking the streets.

I would drop dead if I found out that this boy killed this sweet girl because he watched 🤬🤬🤬🤬, because he had a cell phone or because his mom wasn't home at night.

It takes an exceptional individual to do something like this. I hope they never let him out.

Because, you know, those mens with their raging hormones. They can't be held responsible. Blame those Jezebels who tempted this sweet, helpless man. Men are just powerless.

By all accounts to date, this boy was involved in the community and a friend. An avid yo-yoer. Putting on yo yo shows does not depict a guarded or troubled boy.

Makes me sick. May this sweet girl rest in peace. It is not her fault that someone hurt her.

Well one man reported earlier that Maddy and the boy had been friends for some time.

As a parent, the hardest thing to tackle is other kids. My kid can accept and understand that an adult never needs your help for anything, or never needs you along to show you something, etc. I've found that kids inherently trust other kids, especially ones they've seen or been acquainted to. I've found that what we've taught them often goes out the window when it comes to other kids. And I'm sure she did see him as another kid.

ETA: I meant to quote a different post, but it's not too out of place so I'm going to leave it. lol

I have not read a single thing about him being guarded and troubled. I'm not saying he couldn't have been, but that's not in MSM anywhere.

Respectfully disagree.

I gained about 20 lbs (thank you menopause) and googled "best bras for bigger breasts" because for some reason, most of the weight decided to rest in my breasts....

And OH.MY.GOD.

i got a plethora of big T*t fetish site links for the clickin! And yes, I clicked. So would most of you. It was pretty narsty, but not violent or pedo. Just tacky 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

I was looking for old lady bras, I got 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

It isn't that hard to find, even unintentionally.

He was a troubled boy for sure to have done something like that. That was not evidenced by his putting on yoyo shows of course. Was he guarded and quiet? Yes he was. And yoyo shows don't require a lot of talking.

I believe it is really easy to find such content. Many boys here typically access 🤬🤬🤬🤬 sites at 10 years old... I'm pretty sure parents did not volunteer this sort of info out to their boys. The boys found them, passed them around, etc.

I think you are missing my point. Someone way upstream asked why we are suddenly seeing so many young teens killing little children. And I said that I thought our teens, in general, are becoming desensitized to violence and to violent sexual images, because they are exposed to so many of those kinds of images, starting at a young age.

You may not think that 'normal' 15 yr olds look at gross stuff like that. But I worked in the principals office at a large high school---believe me when I tell you that we had our fair share of stories about what 'good parents' found on the computers and cell phones of their 'normal' kids.

I am NOT saying that this kid watched 🤬🤬🤬🤬 or did this because of 🤬🤬🤬🤬. I am just saying that there is an ugly trend of our kids being exposed to very violent sexual images starting very young.

I know so many kids whose computers get 🤬🤬🤬🤬 malware popups from downloading free games and videos. Their computers get corrupted and sexual images pop up on the screen over and over. You have to have the virus removed. In the meantime it gives them links to click on for free fetish 🤬🤬🤬🤬, free every kind of 🤬🤬🤬🤬, right on their face.

No one is saying 🤬🤬🤬🤬 makes a teen turn into a monster. It takes other things as well. But it clearly does not help to train their brains and bodies to be aroused by gang rape scenarios.

Did you know him or something, to so confidently form this opinion? Just curious.

Child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 is illegal. I'm not sure of other laws about 🤬🤬🤬🤬, but how on earth would it be possible to outlaw? How can you draw a line and say this is okay, but this is not? I'm not asking you like you should have the answer, it's just a general question.

The 🤬🤬🤬🤬 industry is a HUGE money maker. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 will never be outlawed because people like sex and people LOVE money.

EXACTLY. our kids are experts on the computer. I have to ask my kids to help me navigate my way sometimes. And I have had computers in my home since the late 1970's.

Can I ask again, does anyone have a link that 🤬🤬🤬🤬 played a part in this death or had anything to do with this kid who was arrested?

Anyone?

Again, even if it is reported by a reliable "source" that she was sexually violated, that has nothing to do with sexual satisfaction hormones or 🤬🤬🤬🤬 - it has to do with power and control. Violence, period, nothing more.

But we still have no "source" for that yet.
