It's been three years this month since the horrific crime happened and still not trial. I'm glad to see the 1/17/24 pretrial hearing. I hope it doesn't get pushed back.

Do not know what the hang up is on this case - the court site does not give much info - just court dates. But it IS California - so - they like to take their time....

I wonder how long LA County courts can continue to use Covid as an excuse. I've heard DA's on several cases saying that we have such a "backlog" because of Covid.

One must have great amounts of patience here, as these "preliminary hearings" could easily continue for several more years. The justice system in California is broken and there's no easy fix.
