Don't mind me, I'm just thinking of all kinds of things here on this lengthy post, consider it me thinking out loud.
The Hearing provided Larry and his attorney an arena to throw some spaghetti at the ceiling, gauge the response to all their accusations about Maya having an affair and their spinning the tale of the "investigation of the allegations" as though her whole work place was involved in some man hunt investigation. (One boss said she wouldn't lose her job over an affair anyways.)
Larry's the one who told Maya's Family she was having an affair. I'm not sure if Maricris heard it from Maya or from Larry. I suspect those calls to Maya's work place may have been tied to Larry.
MOO, I think Prosecution should address the supposed affair right off the bat at trial. Get it out in the open then. Clear the air if it's true or not. Take the energy off the defense using a supposed affair. If there was an affair, so what. After hearing all Larry was doing, and how miserable Maya was, there'll be less judgement about an affair, but plenty of judgement to the MURDER of this hard working woman and mother of three children that put up with way too much controlling abuse within her marriage.
Larry's attorney-- pushiness, irking the Judge, so obstinate to keep asking her silly questions, and emphasizing Larry's criminal mentality and abusiveness. It's almost like his defense attorney did it on purpose to ensure there'd be a trial. Could she be thinking this was her chance at notoriety, she'd be on his defense team if it goes to trial?
Then again, I think Larry wanted her as his "mouthpiece to shame Maya". That's what he was into, guilting Maya and shaming her into submission. He felt righteous and moral about it. He just might still want to keep his attorney. MOO, she just might get him convicted she does such a terrible job, but...
I do worry now as someone pointed out he could appeal for ineffective counsel and get another trial. Do you think some well-known attorney would take on this case? I appreciate others sharing their thoughts on this subject.
Prayers that Maya is found soon. As sad as it is, her children need to know the truth. Maya did not run off and leave them. She had just called a divorce attorney, she was going to stick around. All MOO here-- I think the daughters know who did this to their mother. They may be fooling themselves for now because the truth is just too much for their young minds to handle. They love their father too. But they know, and they miss their mother, and those kids are suffering silently with the truth laying on their hearts. I think they need to see Justice done.
Oh ETA-- All thoughts and MOO.
