It leaves questions about how someone would have known to take little Melodee there and if they had extra help getting there:

Ashlee Buzzard, the mother of 9-year-old Melodee Buzzard, has been taken into custody, and multiple sources confirm that the girl's body was found.

Multiple law enforcement sources tell ABC News that Melodee Buzzard's body was found in early December in Utah in an area where it was known the two had traveled. Law enforcement had been waiting on DNA to come back on the human remains, which have now come back confirming it was Melodee.

I'm confused. She was reported missing 10/2025, didn't we see the both of them on CCTV at a car rental place after that? How could she have been deceased before she was reported missing?

that wasn't Melodee. The remains were found earlier this month and they needed to do DNA confirmation so likely Melodee was dead when reported missing or earlier. Once again, live presser at 2:00 PM Pacific time and 5:00 ET

yes. It either wasnt Melodee on CCTV or she died shortly afterward. I don't remember where that video was taken, because the body found in Utah. Hi Stacey

She went all that way to do what she did and then returned to her rental. What was her plan, if any?

If LE says little Melodee was found in Utah, then it was very western Utah, very close to the Gandy ranch.

Was Ashlee known to be traveling along Highway 50 across Nevada into Utah?

The pin in the center of this map is at Devil's Gate Slot Canyon. It is just across the border in Utah, although the access road appears to be in Nevada.

Just saw this news. Horrific. I’m just so saddened for Melodee and her family. I had hope this case would end differently.
