CA - O.J. Simpson & the murders of Nicole Brown, Ron Goldman, 1994 *not guilty*

Victims advocates and anti crime advocates are outraged that death row scum bags are allowed to have pen pals.

Marc Klaas does a good job of confronting them when he was on Court TV with one scum pal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFRhwbEZfTw

For some people, including Quakers, it is important as an element of religious faith to seek the good in everyone, no matter how awful they may be. I respect that and feel that it is the epitome of Christian love. For those of us who do not believe in the death penalty anyway, it is pointless to argue that those on death row do not deserve to be treated humanely. That's just one of those things we're never going to agree on.

GlitchWizard: I remembering reading a book about a young man that became penpals with John Wayne Gacy... the book was interesting... it really did give an insight into Gacy's structure and life in prison. (The book revealed how easy Gacy manipulated the staff for things he wanted)

GlitchWizard, I support your right to write to whoever you want. It's a free country. No judgements here. I can sort of see why you are interested in prison inmates too, being as this board here is a true crime board and here you are with us! It seems to fit in with your interests as far as I can tell. As I have said before though, please just be careful and be smart. :)

Hi Nan-

I read somewhere that Christie met OJ while waitressing (and 19 years old). It sounds like there are conflicting reports on how they met...I see that someone posted earlier that she camped out outside his home.

What I would love to know is what her parents think of all of this.

I am thinking that she had a previous beating that caused her to fall at the gas station. Maybe her "drunken" behavior while out of town was actually brain damage??

I know he met Nicole when she was a waitress at "the Daisy", a nightclub in LA back in the day.

That has to be part of the reason, if not the whole reason he picked her. She's Nicole's replacement. He did try a brunette for awhile, Paula Barbieri. Wonder what happened to her?
It's on Wikipedia that she's married to a judge in Florida. I read somewhere else that she is a born again Christian now. In her younger days she wrote a book about her relationship with OJ. People were writing books about OJ then and making a tons of money.

If you know anything about the prison system, you ought to know that prisoners are not treated humanely. My brother was in prison and once he had to go 9 days without soap, clean clothes, tooth brush or tooth paste because we didn't get money turned in for him on time. I have no idea what the people do that don't have family. He had to sleep on the cold cement floor in freezing weather. This Country treats animals better.

Awhile back someone posted a link to where all the players in the Simpson trial were now. Paula married a Judge and is living in Florida. They have one child.

OOPS Sorry for repeating info you already gave. Jilly you are great updating us with links. I want to thank you.:)

I never said that they should be tortured. I just do not think that they should have scum pals write them and send them letters etc. Let them have contact with an atty or immediate family members over the age of 18.

And "seeking good" in people IMO I don't see how you could do that in psychopaths, there is nothing good about people who can rape, molest and kill and not have any remorse at all.

I agree with victim and child advocate Marc Klass, these people are sub human rats. No human could rape an murder an innocent child. That is pure evil. Including people like O.J. Simpson who brutally murdered two people, I hope that his girlfriend has learned her lesson.

Murderers need to stigmatized from society, not treated as celebrities.

I don't care what some wacky, extremist religion says. I will never tolerate murderers or have any compassion, empathy or sympathy for them. All of my empathy goes for the victims.

Because he's a misogynistic self-centered sociopathic creep.

Was this a trick question? :D

I agree! I'd love for him to have DOUBLE MURDERER tattooed on his big, fat, ugly, nasty, bald head of his. As a warning to anyone who might want to hook up with him or be friends with him.

I see it as a gift from god that this man is getting uglier and fatter as he ages and I think god is trying to send a message to people to stay away from this monster!

Hey IM! I've missed seeing you. I figure that you are out living your life. :)

I thought that I read somewhere that her parents have tried to get her away from O.J., but she keeps returning to him.

I also believe that he met Nicole when she was 19. He often joked to his friends that the young ones were easier to train, or something like that...

Like I said, there are just some things folks will never agree on. I find it hilarious that you would regard Quakers as "wacky" or "extremist".

Hi sweetheart-

I've missed you too and yes, I have been living and loving life!

Christie's parents must have been terrified all this time. :( I can't imagine how frightened they must have been. Let's hope she gets away from the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 finally!

Her mom has some sense. She should have listened to her.

You would have to go to extreme measures to find good qualities in a murderer.

You would have to go to extreme measures to find good qualities in a murderer.

Human beings are rarely black and white. There is good in the worst of us and bad in the best of us. There is nothing extreme about finding love and compassion for people who sin - people do this every day and the world is a better place for it.

The USA is a predominantly Christian nation and one of the core Christian teachings is to love each other - even those who would do terrible thinsg to you. It is easy to love those who treat you well, but Christ called us to go further than that and love out enemies.

Perhaps Christianity is extreme. The concept of loving all mankind is as far-fetched to as many today as it was when Christ started talking about it. Love in action is transformative and revolutionary - and that can feel extreme.
