Haha, so then what's the point of a civil suit if the defendent doesn't have to pay it? This makes no sense to me.

I was watching something on my local news on this last night and they were saying that this lawsuit will basically be impossible to win because it's actually like "owning" someone's likeness and decision making ability to work as they see fit. That being said, I don't understand why if OJ is ignoring a court decision to pay these families, why are there not penalties such as jail time???

I doubt fred will win, but he wants OJ's hyde thats for sure. Cant say I blame him.

I don't blame Fred at all, if it were my child I would do the same. These civil lawsuits are what don't make sense if the judgement is so un-enforceable.

I pray he wins this. I feel so sorry for Mr. Goldman, his son was only returning glasses left at the restaurant he worked at, and it resulted in his death with an idiot going free for it. Wonder if OJ is still looking for the real killers????

At least Mr. Goldman is keeping pressure on the real killer...

Fred intends on being a thorn in OJ's side for the rest of his life. I say Good for him. They never saw justice, and that has to just eat them up inside everyday of their life. Knowing the evidence was there and he still walked. Still sickens me to this day.

I know I love it too. I feel so bad for fred and his family, all of them for that matter. Oj will stand before the real Judge one day IMO and be held accountable.

The reason Fred Goldman can't collect is OJ has does everything in his power to protect his assets. OJ moved to Florida because of the state laws protecting his home, the pension is untouchable and he is careful not to earn above a certain amount so he can avoid payment. Vanity Fair had an article a few years back all about this, Simpson has been very calculating in all of this.
