CA - O.J. Simpson & the murders of Nicole Brown, Ron Goldman, 1994 *not guilty*

I would have loved to get my hands on a copy but no way would I spend in the thousands or even hundreds for it.

Its a shame they pulled it in the first place. OJ got his money so it didnt stop that and if people didnt want to read it they didnt have to buy it.IMO
What happened to freedom of speech.

Kato Kaelin said something pretty interesting on his way out of Hyde last night. Yes my friends, Kato actually got into Hyde and maybe that's the lead.

But on his way out, someone stopped the man who was in O.J. Simpson's guesthouse the night Simpson banged into the air conditioner and dropped his murder glove.

Kaelin was asked about Simpson's disgusting book, "If I Did It." His response -- "What do you mean 'if'?"

I can't exactly remember when I saw Kato tell Geraldo Rivera that he now believed OJ was guilty. It's been a few years though.

He better be careful! OJ might want to shut him up!

I doubt it Taximom, even if OJ would confess there would be nothing anyone could do....

What do you mean, "If?" is a GREAT response! Good on Kato...

Was Kato OJ's coke dealer? I can't remember their history, other than that he lived there.

I always heard he was renting the guest house because he was a starving actor.

I thought he was all of the above: drug user/dealer, starving actor and freeloader. :D

At one time I thought Nicole used Kato as a babysitter for the kids  at her place till she told him to move out...and OJ took him in. More or less because OJ could squeeze info about Nicole out of Kato.

if i recall marcia clark became so frustrated questioning kato during the trial that she asked judge ito to have him declared a hostile witness. kato was so non-commital on the stand, other than describing the thump on the back wall that was so loud he thought there had been an earthquake.

I think that OJ let him stay there for free. I can't remember why Nicole got mad at him. I think that it was because OJ had befriended him and offered to let him stay in his guest house. OJ most likely did this to anger Nicole and knew that she would not use him as a babysitter any longer. So, once again, OJ manipulated the situation to his liking.

I remember that too, and I wondered if he was just afraid of OJ at that point...or just too ditzy to be a good witness? I don't know, but I think he knew it all along. Wasn't the thump on the wall near where the bloody glove was found?

yes, that is why mark furman went behind the building and found the glove. in the first place. but of course all of that was destroyed during the trial when the focus became the "N" word and that furman intended to "frame" OJ all along.

i too got the impression that kato feared OJ then, not now obviously. but it was clear he did not want to be the one to take OJ down, although he certainly could have.
