[h=1]Search resumes in Sonoma County for abducted Vallejo teen Pearl Pinson[/h]
The search resumed Saturday morning near Jenner for a 15-year-old Vallejo girl who was abducted last week and may have been brought to the mouth of the Russian River.
...
Law enforcement brought in more search and rescue teams Saturday to continue the hunt for Pearl Pinson...
...
“Right now we’ve got quite a few more people on foot,” said Lt. Jim Naugle of the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. The hunt includes search dogs on land and divers checking the river. Naugle said he didn’t have an exact number, but he counted at least 30 search and rescue members combing the rugged terrain near Jenner.
...
Investigators have not said why they believe the young woman was brought to the rugged Sonoma County coast. But a Solano Sheriff’s spokeswoman said Friday that officials still believe Pinson could be alive.

Why do they believe Pearl is in Vallejo county still? Why isn't it possible that he took her further down the coast?

Vallejo is a city, not a county. It's in Solano County. They believe he traveled two hours and took her to Jenner or Marin (Sonoma County). They got info from license plate readers and surveillance cameras. It is possible he took her further South, but if so, she was in the trunk or the back seat lying down. Most likely she was dead- they believe he shot her in Vallejo- before he headed South.

It is. I'm sure they are processing the car to see if she was in there alive or not.

Why isn't it possible that Pearl could be further down the coast somewhere?

I think you are right. I think he left her in one of the remote areas near Jenner. Probably hid her slightly. Then took off South to lead them in the other direction.

I think you are right, but why take her to Jenner- to dump her in the Pacific Ocean??? And why Jenner as opposed to other costal towns? Jenner is little. The only reason I know of it is because I've driven through it/stopped there a couple of times on the way to other places.

Yes, and they are not even searching in actual Jenner (population 136) but a couple of miles southeast of there near Willow Creek Road. It's a bit inland, near the Russian River, and quite unpopulated.

You'll have to zoom out to see Jenner. I can't get both the road name and the town in a long zoom.

Does anyone know if CA has any SAR groups that are well-known and reputable like Texas Equusearch or CUE?

@KlaasKidsSearch, led by Mr. Marc Klaas (Polly's Dad) is top notch!

Maybe it was a place that meant something.

I would love to be wrong but I do feel she is already dead. If so, I pray they can locate her body and bring her home where she can have a proper burial.

May God be with her family. I cant even begin to imagine the pain and suffering they have been experiencing. So many parents of missing children have long said that the longer it goes on what is even worse is not knowing where their child is. They don't know if they are alive or dead or hungry or hurt. Such a sad situation for any parent to be in.

If his car was spotted on the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge at 9:30 a.m. on Wed. (the day of the kidnapping)
http://www.ktvu.com/news/145393532-story
and IF he went north to Jenner, that would have taken him at least an hour and a half, putting him in the Jenner area by noon Wed.

Then, the next day (Thurs), he was shot in Solvang, which is at least a 6-hour drive south from Jenner. I wonder where he was/what he did during those many hours between travelling?

p.s. Just for further timeline reference:
-- The kidnapping happened at about 7 a.m. Wed. in Vallejo.
-- Travel time from Vallejo to the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge would be less than 30 minutes (depending on where on the bridge he was spotted at 9:30 a.m.). So, there is a time gap there too.

Where did he live? Solano County, Contra Costa County, Alameda County? When did he write the suicide note, before or after the kidnapping?

Today's search efforts in the Willow Creek area have concluded and Pearl has not been found. At this time, there are no future search plans for this area.

Investigators are continuing to follow up on leads in this case and continue to have hope we will find and bring Pearl home.

We will update as new information and search plans become available.

I've also been wondering where he spent Weds. night.
