"Deputies probe finding of body in Ramona area," Daily Times-Advocate, October 2, 1972, pg 4.

"The body was found in a shallow grave off Black Canyon Road, near Black Canyon campgrounds."

"[The body] was found by a family of three which had been rock hunting in the area...the discovery was made by the trio about 6 p.m"

"Ramona death probed," Daily Times-Advocate, October 4, 1972, pg 4.

"the cause of death has not been determined officially, but sheriff's deputies found a noose with a square knot of white cotton rope around the man's neck and numerous skull fractures above the left eye."

"He was described as having long, auburn hair, and was wrapped in four blankets and a dark green plastic cloth.

"Deputies said it is not known weather the victim died of strangulation or head injuries."

Both had white bell bottoms on, I'd say that's worth a submission
Also mentions the UID is hairy and from the looks of this photo seems like he has chest hair coming out of the top of his shirt. Richard looks good to me too.
