Read some recent headlines, or just look at threads started here in the last few weeks. I understand the sentiment completely.

sometimes I say ridiculous things in the heat of the moment, so I too, understand the sentiment, sadly. Like when one of my dogs chews up a cat toy and I promise to withhold all food forever and ever after that. When pressed, I back down and understand the absurdity, but it was fitting in the moment of anger.

Let's focus on what happened here, please, for the victims...

A man who said he was a neighbor of the gunman told Action News Now, a group of local television stations, that his roommate was one of those killed. The gunman, who seemed mentally unstable, “has been shooting a lot of bullets lately, hundreds of rounds, large magazines,” he said. “He’s been threatening us.”

Why wasn't this investigated? arrested? Why did LE allow him to terrorize the neighbors! They tried to WARN them, and nothing was done. Released on bail. wth. very angry.

Mass killing IMO. I will never understand the need. And why did he still have guns given his "issues". Would LE not seize them?

A pack of wild dogs, coyotes. The time it takes to reload after each shot can make the difference between a dead calf and a live one. A pack of wild dogs will go after humans as well.

RED BLUFF, Calif. — A gunman killed four people and wounded a number of others at random Tuesday at multiple locations in rural Northern California, including an elementary school, before police shot him dead, authorities said.

Two hospitals said they were treating seven people, including at least three children.

No children were killed, Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston said. The shooter, who has not been identified, was fatally shot by police after engaging two officers who returned fire at an intersection in the community of Rancho Tehama Reserve, about 130 miles north of Sacramento, Johnston said.

There are awful human beings in every country. We hear more about the American ones on WS because it’s likely the majority of members and guests are from North America. To write off an entire country of men because of the actions of maybe .05% of the population is bold in my opinion.

The sheriff's office has not released the shooter's name nor his motive. The man was involved in a domestic violence incident Monday and had been involved a few months earlier in a stabbing.

A county sheriff's search would likely turn up the previous...

It's not good for anything that anyone NEEDS. It's a want vs. need thing. Gives scared people a false sense of security. They see it in the movies and on TV and think it makes them intimidating or even more pathetic, "cool". It's definitely "overkill", pardon the expression, for anyone to have one. I don't care how far out in the boonies you live.
