I feel badly for RN's family as they are in so much pain over their loss. It would be very hard for a family to accept a dear one committing suicide.

As far as MS's accident, I think the dog was involved. An active six-year-old boy and a dog would always be together, running and rough housing. If MS was indeed "planking," the dog may have jumped up on him, causing MS to lose balance and tumble over. I seem to recall that the last word MS spoke to RN was the dog's name.

RN volunteered for the position she was in. Living with a man without the protection and committment of marriage is one of the stupidest things a woman can do. A huge unbalance of power, one party gets most of the benefits without the responsbility.

Think about it -- her last "duty" was to pick up the brother from the airport (to "support" JS, shouldn't this have been one of her functions) and transport him to the hospital, which apparently she herself was barred from entering. Later RN receives a distressing message from JS that all hope is gone and MS's life is over. Who knows what else JS said to her. One can only image what a high-powered and demanding perfectionist would say under such circumstances, holding RN responsible as it was under her watch when this happened.

No one had to murder RN, why would any successful person take the risk. Having JS throw RN out of his life with nothing would have been enough of a punishment.

All in my very humble opinion.

If AS was there at the same time that RN got the call, then I would imagine that AS received the same information via a telephone call. So he would have been awakened, answered his phone, or received a voicemail message?

Having received such a call at that hour, how could he go back to sleep? If it were me might be wondering how RN was taking the news. The guest house was across from the balcony. Were there windows with a view to that room?

More questions....

I am sorry. The report is not online. It is available from the ME's office tuesday.

ummmm. Now I'm confused and curious....how did you provide a quote from the autopsy report then?

Max propelled over that railing at a great speed. The injuries to Max's body plus the involvement of the chandelier do not fit with a planking scenario. If he was even attempting to plank on the railing, his body would have fallen straight down and not been propelled horizontally into the chandelier and the other railing. JMO

If he managed to go end over end on the Razor scooter after an abrupt stop at the railing, though, it's possible there would have been enough force to propel him to the chandelier. If he clung to the handle bar it could have gone over with him, thus landing on his shin. Just so sad however it happened. :(

I have it. I was providing quotes to try and answer some of your questions.

The cell phone is item #30, and on illustrated drawing. Its on the ground behind the door.

This is not Max's room. You would never put a 6 yo boy in a room at the end of the hallway with attached balcony! Most likely just a spare bedroom or computer room. Maybe she used it as her painting room.
You would think that if RZ was attempting to "get back at JS" she would have committed suicide in their bedroom not a spare (northeast) bedroom. jmo

The sister is talking about some sort of journal that was supposedly on RN's phone. Not the voice mail message she supposedly got at 12:50 am. That's another weird things-who keeps journals on their phone?
Another bizarre statement. No one keeps a journal on their cellular phone. lol

Is the message written at the height that a 5'3" person would write it?
Sorry if this has been asked and answered, way behind......
Looks perfect for me, and I'm 5'6". (checked standard door.)

ETA:
I think that is her correct height, could be wrong

IMO
That is a great question. I'm 5'2" and would have wrote it at a lower place.

Was the following already suggested as a possibility for the "SHE SAVED HIM CAN YOU SAVE HER"?

??? RN SAVED Ocean CAN YOU [JS - owner of the home] SAVE RN ???

"Ocean" was the last word MS is reported to have said.

Was the dog the original target?

Sadly, not true, I know this from personal experience. When my son was going through a horrendous ordeal (he's fine now), I looked at a journal on his phone for clues to his misery. I was shocked and horrified by what I read.

From the autopsy:

"On 07/12/11, the decedent drove her sister to the airport to return to her home. While at the airport, she picked up Jonah's brother (AS), who flew in from out of town to be with his brother. They went to the hospital to meet Jonah and then the three went out to dinner. Jonah returned to the hospital and the decedent and Adam returned to the home. The decedent was last seen by Adam at approximately 2000 hours."

If AS was there at the same time that RN got the call, then I would imagine that AS received the same information via a telephone call. So he would have been awakened, answered his phone, or received a voicemail message?

More questions....

RN took her sister to the airport. Picked up AS at airport. Did she take AS to the hospital to spend time with JS and MS? Or did they pick up JS and go to dinner? Then JS was dropped back off at hospital. RN and AS went to the mansion; AS last saw RN at 8 pm?

If his sole purpose was to go to San Diego to provide support to his brother, why did he not stay at hospital????

If someone called RN and left a voicemail with the current medical condition about MS, why wouldn't AS receive the same message???? Why wouldn't he want to go back to the hospital and be supportive for JS???? That was his reasoning for coming to town!!!

RN would have had to turn on lights as she made her trek around the property and house gathering her supplies.....She definitely would have needed to have the light on in the guest room to complete her pain staking tasks....

JS heard/saw nothing until 6:45 am?????? The guest house is close to the end of the house where guest room is located.

I agree; all we have is more questions....

Indeed? Then how did AS enter the house (to get a knife)? He either forced the door, or else it was unlocked. I suppose he could have had a key to both the guest house and to the main house...

While I believe GS was at the residence that morning. I do not believe that she was involved with the accident. Teenagers do not want to hangout with 6 year olds. I agree that something happened with Max and the dog that caused the unfortunate accident. jmo

Since you brought up disgruntled employees, I think I read somewhere that DS used to work for Medicis.

Is that true?

Not addressed to me, but I seem to recall that JS's first wife KJ was an employee of his company or a similar one. Was not DS a psychologist? JMO .. have read so much I may be confused. :waitasec:

I visited a hospital ER and ICU just the other day and my cell phone was blocked at both. No signal. I was told it interferes with their telemetry of ECGs, etc. We don't know who actually phoned and left the message. It may have been from a courtesy phone most ICU's have and been impossible for RN to return the call.

Hubby & I have been visiting a hospital ER + ICU for the past 6 weeks. We are told that we CAN use our cell phones in these areas. The No Cell Phones rule no longer applies. We both get fine service, me on my cheap little Verizon phone, and hubby on his iPhone.

I would suspect that the guest house and main house had different keys and that the guest house would have a kitchen and he might have gone back to the guest house to get a knife. I wonder too, how did he get in the house, if the house was locked and there was no sign of forced entry.

Maybe the house was left unlocked? If JS did not arm the alarm, perhaps he often did not lock doors in the mansion. But unfortunately, the person who could tell us whether or not the doors were locked or she set the security alarm when she got home, is no longer alive.

Can cell phone voice messages be deleted online? I've never tried on my cell but can do that on my other phone.

Many have remarked that they found it odd that AS was staying in the guest house rather than the main house. If my 'brother-in-law" (to be) came to stay under such circumstances, I imagine that we would spend time together, talking, having an adult beverage, commiserating. But AS and RN apparently spent no time at all together- he last saw her at 8PM- there was still an hour of daylight. Did she dislike him or feel uncomfortable with him, or was she too engrossed in her own thoughts and plans to spend even a minute visiting with him? Odd. He might be a real early to bed type guy, but under these tragic circumstances...He, suffering in his quarters, she, suffering in hers...

As for the use of the guest house, perhaps there was not a bedroom prepared for him because all of the bedrooms had been in use because of the guest(s) who had been there. There were only 5 bedrooms upstairs, or maybe 6. Again, she may not have liked him or known him very well, so it was easier to stay in the guest house. But I think that there were no bedrooms ready for use.
