I agree. Perhaps the family is interjecting the gender of the person who they believe the message was written to or for the benefit of?

I know it has been reported that the lettering of the message was block lettering. All caps? I noted the first letter of each word was capitalized in the quote. Was that the way it was written? Was that how RN wrote? I have noticed online that there are folks who write that way and I have never understood that.

O/T......

I love to write in all caps....can type faster but I guess some feel that those that write in all CAPS are screaming/yelling at them......I don't get it, but I try to be computer correct....:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Question: why do people say her legs were bent? Where is that written?

It's not written anywhere. But there are photos of her body taken by a helicopter that clearly show her legs were bent. Even though she apparently didn't hang close to the ground and was not hog tied.

Also, the red towel sitting in the tipped over chair - did RN just take a shower or walking around home naked with red towel on...

LE said RN/RZ was naked because she had just taken a shower before the suicide.

I wonder if RN was technologically savvy. Meaning did she use apps on her phone and was she a gadget person?

I am savvy enough to use my phone's capabilities and I have a few apps that other people have suggested to me. It is an effective tool that helps me manage my life.

I am a creative/artistic person.

When it comes to journaling, I am a pen to paper person. Same with lists and notes to myself. Pen to paper only. I enjoy the process, the feel of pen to paper. I am particular about my pens and I am also a doodler. I find it easier for the process to be able to physically write out my thoughts and ideas.

However, I do not use longhand for my writing projects (short stories, novels, articles). When my ideas are flowing, I need to have the ease of a laptop to get them down quickly.

I would not journal on my phone. It feels too cumbersome. I might use it in a pinch for noting an idea for a story or poem start, but using my phone regularly for journaling would be frustrating to me.

I wonder if RN was the same? Anyone else?

Yes! Funny how some unknown person says something about RZ being depressed back in January, and the investigators take that so seriously when everybody close to her says she worked out, had a positive attitude, and was never suicidal. Painting this woman as some emotional mess to support the suicide theory is a convenient way to gloss over the fact that this may have been a cold-blooded murder. They didn't explain or support all the facts before they neatly closed the investigation. I still don't believe this was a suicide.

Seriously, people who commit suicide don't always give ANY indication that anything is wrong. They may in fact seem the opposite of depressed - putting up a facade to hide what is really going on in their heads. That's why they need a forensic psychologist to take a look at other things, other aspects of her personality.

Read the Bell Jar, the fictionalized account of Sylvia Plath's first suicide attempt. The character, like Sylvia Plath, gave no indication of anything being wrong and was in fact an overachieving, All-American, Golden Girl, but there was huge turmoil inside. In her case, in retrospect, it was chemical. When your brain chemistry is off, your perspective is off - you look at everything differently, so it isn't one incident that can do it for you, but your interpretation of what that incident means e.g. I'm a failure, the world's against me, etc. etc.

:) I meant people who capitalize the first letter of each word, not all caps. I would write in all caps or all lower case, but some write Like This For Everything They Post And I Don't Get It. :)

LE said RN/RZ was naked because she had just taken a shower before the suicide.

So - RN decides to take a shower in preparation of committing the act suicide or knowing JS was coming back to mansion? Guess that may be why she missed the call.

And they think she couldn't bother to put on some clothes even though she had to have spend a lot of time planning and carrying out the elaborate suicide?
Do they think she was naked in the shower and then went around to the garage for the rope while also in the nude even though boyfriends brother was staying in a guest house in very close proximity to the house?

As things stand, little Max's family members have a heavy cloud of suspicion over them re the death of RZ. That must be dreadful to deal with on top of grief.

I should think that further investigation/full release of information could lift that cloud, i.e., be in their best interest.

I am pretty sure that if you know the password to the phone, you can delete the voice mail message from a long distance, you don't have to physically have the phone.

Yeah, you could definitely do that. I was trying to figure out if it could have been deleted in a way that LE wouldn't easily see how. If it was deleted remotely by calling in would that look different than if it was deleted with her own phone. I guess there is no sense in wondering since we won't be privy to the forensics and how it was investigated - what they did or didn't do. I would like to know what was in that one journal entry, if it sounded like Rebecca, if the family got to read it, and if it's valid that there was no date they could figure out.

The lawyer says the family are getting all kind of offers from experts wanting to investigate this further. So hopefully family can get to the bottom of it all.

Or had she already listened to the message and was getting ready to go to the hospital? And was chased down the hall and the towel fell away?

Why is everyone either taking a shower or in the bathroom????

I am guessing that is not what JS and family are thinking. Most likely they want it all to go away.

I saw that photo (horrible by the way, they shouldn't have allowed that). If it's the same one I saw, wouldn't her legs just bend naturally when she was cut down and put on the ground? If you fall down, your legs don't go straight out. Are you saying rigor mortis would have made this impossible? I don't think the brother, in cutting her down and putting her on the ground, would necessarily stretch her out straight.

Great points! So, AS had no car. RN & AS go to hospital, and have dinner with JS. Then, AS & RN return to the mansion. AS says he last saw RN at 8pm. So, what happened next. AS wants us to believe that he says good night to RN and goes to the guesthouse, and goes to bed? Remember he lives in Tennessee - that means 8pm Coronodo time is 6 pm Memphis time. Kind of early for bed. I don't buy it.... Wouldn't both want company. Maybe talk about plans for the week since they were suppose to be JS support team? Most people would hang out togather in this situation. Makes you think .... Also, was the house left unlocked, so AS could come and go from guesthouse. And if RN got that late night call, wouldn't AS have gotten it to? If he did get a call that Max's condition was worse - could he just roll back to sleep or would he be awake thinking about things. In the latter case, RN was right outside his window setting up the suicide. He saw no light, no noise, did not get up to go to bathroom, look out window, stop into home for a snack or drink....If JS could not reach RN, woud he ask AS to check on her? I think his timeline is curious.........If it is true, then RN and AS did not get along.

Also, the red towel sitting in the tipped over chair - did RN just take a shower or walking around home naked with red towel on...

BBM

8 PM Coronado time would be 10 pm Memhis time. They are two hours ahead of us.

I believe the LE photos and room illustration say that it was a blanket by the chair. The towel was outside of the bedroom in the hall. (no photo of the towel was provided for us)

Just fooling around, in a very amateur manner, filling in the message LE strangely withheld. (font's not quite right):

I thought that too.

There have been times when I was expecting calls and taken the phone in the bathroom with me, so that if the call comes while I am in the shower, I can hear the phone and step out to take the call. If I were in her shoes, I'd have the phone with me at all times. Wonder if there was a house phone being used, an answering machine, and if either were used regularly.

Her cell phone was in the bedroom on the floor near the wall abutting the hall (from what I recall of the illustration), and the towel was outside the bedroom door in the hall near a red stain.
