Is the loud music for sure? I thought early on there were reports of loud music but they were never substantiated and then said to not be true. IF the music has been verified, do we know the source of it (ipod, stereo) and where it was located?

Strange. Why would PI pick up the dog and not ask any questions? After all the kennel guy did talk to RN when she wanted to board the dog, so he might have had some info regarding Max's accident that he heard from RN.

Maybe as a safeguard so his client didn't have to in case this wasnt an accident and suicide.

IMO

I wondered about the handle, too. But looks like the tow rope is 60" (not 84).

I checked the link, and it's 60' --- 60 feet. Fits the situation a little better!

No, we don't know the source of it. I don't believe any reports said it was not true. What was said to be not true are reports of a party in the house. There was no party that night.

I do have a workable theory about the loud music. What if a radio were plugged in in the garage, workshop, shed, wherever...and when a person looking for rope or paint turned on the light, the radio came on, loudly.

The loud music... Who reported it or claimed to hear it?

ETA: Nevermind, I see the post upthread. If the music was reported by someone outside of the home (a neighbor), then it would seem that AS would also have heard it. Would he not have wondered why there was such loud music at that hour if RN was in the home alone? And gone to check it out? Just thinking out loud here.

They also have said there was so much to cover, they couldn't mention everything. What does finding AS' DNA on the rope prove? He told them he cut her down.

It's like the dog which did not bark in the night. If DNA which might have been expected to be found was not found...gloves.

Okay, been snooping around and saw this .. the top pic was taken in the morning by a news helicopter .. doors closed, no rope. Bottom pic is the one from the PC with the rope.

https://viewer.zoho.com/docs/xJBccc

I saw this, also. But the picture seems to have been manipulated- the doors have a much lower threshold than this picture shows. Just another merry prankster!

Thank you. So does 60 feet of rope replicate the AR report with no rope missing?

I would like to point out that Max fell down a staircase and hit the chandelier hard enough to bring it down with him. The police verified he hit the other handrail on the way down as well yet the listing of contusions and abrasions on his body were not as extensive as the contusions and abrasions listed on Rebecca's body.

Someone has started a Wikipedia entry on Rebecca Zahau, for those posters who also do Wiki updates.... (Notice has Jonah Shacknai's name misspelled.)

There is no way for us to tell. We'd have to know how long the 3 pieces of rope were.

I don't know, but that's a good question.

Also, a tow rope is different than other types of ropes. It floats and is a bit stiffer than regular dock lines, etc. Other types of lines used on a boat don't usually float and are of a different type of material. Not sure if that matters here or not.

But didnt they say he landed on his face so hard that it whipped his neck backwards? I would thnk the face would have the most abrasions.

Maybe not, maybe so. IMO an experiment worth exploring.

The AR describes exactly how many loops around wrists and ankles. So loosely replicate those, subtract that amount of rope from 60 ft.

How much rope is left? With that amount of rope, and factoring in the 9' 2" drop, can one duplicate scene of rope going from bed to balcony to noose?

CEO Shacknai Wields Small Army Against Speculation on Death of His Girlfriend

The Shacknai family has reportedly hired two lawyers, a PR firm and a private detective since the death, which has officially been declared a suicide.

The cease-and-desist letter to the lawyer representing the Zahau family is Shacknai’s first overt attempt to hit back at those who do not believe Rebecca killed herself.

In the letter, Shacknai’s lawyer told Bremner that her statements that he is rich and powerful enough to influence law enforcement officials’ investigation of the deaths are “false” and “constitute defamation, per se.”

The letter claims that Shacknai “never once considered retaining an attorney” throughout the investigation and that “it is only now,” because of Bremner’s allegations, that he has had to do so. That statement stands in contradiction to Sheriff Bill Gore, who told the Sept. 2 press conference that Shacknai had lawyers present when his department briefed the family on their findings prior to their public release.

There is a big piece of rope hanging from her arms (clearly visible from the photo). So just making loops around wrists and ankles is not going to be enough-we have to know much rope was left hanging from the arm binding.
