I don't think it will be that much longer that we will see an arrest or two.

Why did they take someone else’s kids to California???

Quoted from the posted article

She was longtime friends with the 11-year-old boy’s parents, who recently moved to California.

Sutkay’s three biological children were living with the family in the Coloma Street house, Placerville police confirmed. She told FOX40 Lopez’s parents had custody of her kids.

“We were going through tough times and (Lopez's mother) decided to reach out and offered to help,” Sutkay said.

So her friend was having a rough time so she took custody of the kids then moved them away from her criss country?

I get what happened, but I don’t understand why

I don’t get it either.

Roman is my grandson's name, and my mom used to live in Placerville (some cousins of mine lived there too, and we jokingly called it Plasticville). Some cases just sort of jump out at you. This is one of those. :(

I asked this exact same question and then I was banned from the Facebook group. The mother who claimed her kids were stolen was part of the group and was telling the story but there’s definitely huge holes in what she was claiming. It just doesn’t make sense.

I wonder if by taking custody the new parents received checks? I’ve seen so many cases of awful families using kids as check farms.

I thought that too. It’s the only thing that makes sense right now.

I would've guessed that Roman was 8 years old, not 11 from the pictures I've seen. Are those pictures even recent? Poor baby.

Looking around for media stories--and pretty much total silence since he was found. No one is hearing anything?

I haven’t seen any new reports either. Just a lot of speculation. I did find it strange the stepmom didnt notify dad he was missing for 5 hours, esp when it was 6am. I know suspicious can mean something a simple as a glove on the scene that didn’t belong to the boy so still thinking it could have possibly been an accident of some sort. Only thing I didn’t understand was, why remove all the kids from the home.

Hoping for updates soon.
