Anyone remember the family (two women, numerous adopted kids) that moved from place to place everytime CPS started asking questions?

I don't think there's any nationwide link for all the county CPS's that could track problems before they turn into tragedies, but there should be.

This wouldn't be the first case where a family moved states multiple times and was unable to be tracked by CPS. I don't like to beat up on CPS too much as in most states it is woefully underfunded and understaffed and most "boots on the ground" social workers do want to do the right thing. I am so horrified for his bio mom who found out via news/internet.

I agree and it is up to the CA GOVT to make a choice on funding to help and assist the agency. They need to make the decision to put $$$ where it obviously is desperately needed.
Not knocking the social workers but the ones who control the purse strings.

I would not have even been aware of this extreme problem in CA if not for Noah McIntosh's most atrocious & despicable case.
Yes my heart bleeds for his Mother.

CPS couldn't have been involved as of yet since they just moved to California like 3 weeks to a month.

Found a more recent picture of Roman... :( look at his wrists and side of his head.
So who is the original person this photograph belongs to and why didn't they think there was abuse going on?
I'm no expert on photo shop but there sure seems to be some unnatural shading going on.

I believe you’re talking about the Hart family. Those poor kids- the evil they endured.

I think it was Hart.

OT, but the military aspect made me think of the little boy whose sperm donor was in the military. The girlfriend was raising him and abused him terribly. He was hospitalized in terrible condition and we didn't know if he would make it. He had some weird nickname? Anyone remember that? I was wondering how he was doing.

This story is so odd and as a mother of three boys, that ring around his wrists is not dirt.
Mom to 9, and we'll just agree to disagree. I prefer to think it's dirt, because a.) it looks close enough and b.) the alternative is not an answer I want to be true.

A mother should be able to trust the other parent of her child to care for him. This poor woman was trying to get better and sort some things out in order to be in her son's life again.

My heart goes out to Roman's mother. That his father didn't call her when Roman went missing... or anytime thereafter... is horrific.
And what a precious boy he was. I'll watch this thread all the way to justice for him (and his mama.)

So it's appearing that they're not going to release even the cause of death, let alone anything else, anytime soon.

Anyone else getting the impression that the information is pointing to someone specific and they're trying to build their case for prosecution before releasing anything?

At least that's what I'm hoping.

Feno was the boy's nickname. Last I knew he had been released from the hospital but still attending various therapies and in a wheelchair. They are pretty tight lipped with updates due to the state still being involved. Locals reported seeing him at the hospital and such. It was reported he was happy, well taken care of and was with a good family. If I remember correctly the maternal grandma got to see him but I might be remembering wrong but I do remember she wasn't allowed to give out any info. I was in a FB group that e had a tidbit of info posted here and there but haven't seen an update in awhile.

Is it me or is LE becoming more tight-lipped in these type cases?
This case in particular has had so few details released. I understand the reasoning, of course.

No arrests yet?

If his own family was abusing him, I'd think they would know it by now? Would one of the surviving siblings talk?

The Loperich family is just one of the many Placerville. Many neighbors are offering support to the mom, who just lost her son.

“She’s fighting, fighting for her life and fighting for her son,” said Loeprich. “In all these stories and all this speculation she’s the only person from my core, I just felt for.”

In hopes of making this tragic time, a little easier, as this mom says goodbye to her only son.

“Everyone just wants to do something, and it’s not something you could ever fix,” said Loeprich.

The coroner’s report on the cause of death could take several days to release.

The picture of Roman with the bruised wrists (I think they look like bruises..moo) appears to have been taken at school or a library...did teachers not notice? Was DHS ever contacted concerning this family...will have to go back through the thread.

That was my question. Kid looks super bruised. Why no call to the police?

This latest posted pics made me think of Lucas ;( such a handsome little guy . Just awfully sad. Not much in media until Placerville . Anyone else find any background on this family ? TIA

These poor, sweet, sweet little boys. Angelic. And they get murdered.

Lucas. Noah McIntosh. Gabriel Fernandez. Anthony Avalos. Caden McWilliams. AJ Freud.

We have it seems one or two slowly tortured to death child abuses cases a month. What is wrong with these monsters? It’s like they see something so pure and sweet it causes rage to erupt in them. Not sure why.

This makes me sick. What animal would do something to this sweet child? I’m in tears. This stinks.

In the interview with the mother of the three kids that were living with Roman's parents, she mentioned that Roman's Mom had been homeschooling the kids.

So I think there's your answer, once again Gitana, about why no one called police. If the kid's aren't in school every day, fewer chances for anyone to notice bruises and other injuries. :(
