She goes home....the camera sees her do this and she goes inside. She talks with her sibs about going to see a movie but is told she doesn't have enough money... this takes under five minutes... she goes back out to play and heads in the other direction away from the front gate and the camera sees her go.
I think someone in that park is good for this.... or perhaps it was a delievery driver... wonder what time ups etc makes deliveries there? Have they checked the mailman? How about the property owner/manager?
Were there any landscapers in there at the time? How about construction or contractors?
Nora, let me see if I can scroll back and find that link about her afternoon... there were several conflicting reports on mom....first she is there but didn't hear her...then she heard her but didn't see her....then the sibs saw her and talked about movies.... the report with grandpa was where he recounted the afternoon (I tend to believe him at this point)Great summary, Nursebeeme! I have a question and a comment on what I snipped below.
First, are you sure the "movie conversation" was during the five minute visit home? For some reason I thought that was before she went to her friend's house, and I also thought the mom didn't even notice she was there for the five minute visit. I don't want to confuse myself (or anyone else!)and you've obviously retained more than I did. I want to clarify this so I'm not offtrack.
Second, the delivery people is a GREAT lead to follow!! I know all mobile home parks are different but I know of a couple parks that have these rules: all mail delivered to the office (USPS/UPS/FED EX - residents have boxes there), all delivery or maintenance vehicles of ANY kind must sign in with office. (The two parks I know about did not have security gates so it was a rule that could have been broken, but still it would be something to go on.) It would be nice if this park had a log LE could check!
Thanks, Nursebeeme!!!
whew!!!!! (nurse wipes sweat from brow) here is that dammmm post, Nora LOL.....sorry it took me so long.....I found this article very interesting. It includes what Sandra was doing and where some of the other family members were at the time of her vanishing into thin air http://www.recordnet.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090331/A_NEWS02/903310332/-1/A_NEWS
this does not sound to me like a little girl running away....just a little girl going back outside to play....
You are welcome Miss Nora Canora! :blowkiss: I do not know why this case has got me ws~bonkers! I think it has a lot to do with the fact that my son is the same age and very, very friendly......even tho I tell him over and over about strangers I could just see him trusting everyone and anyone! I think with this school age group of kids they trust, trust, trust to a fault generally speaking.Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! I appreciate your long trek into the deep, dark corners of WS.That article helps me a lot, and clarifies some points that I obviously had wrong. I'm going to go back and read it AGAIN - maybe it will stick this time! LOL
Thanks again! I appreciate your help!! :blowkiss:
kent! wow! Yes, this guy seems shady and evasive and very contradictory! So he doesn't even know her but kisses her on the lips. I also noticed in his interviews that he never once expressed concern for her well being like saying.....I hope she is okay.... I hope she is safe, etc... all he has concern for is defending himself... which sure any innocent person would be...When asked if he knew the girl at all, Wohler told ABC7, "No clue. I wish I did. I have no clue."
Wohler, who lives by himself in the mobile home park, says police questioned him for hours about 8-year-old Sandra Cantu who has been missing since Friday.
"We became friends, she'd come to my house and property asking if I needed any help. I had her water my plants," said Wohler.
About two years ago, Sandra's grandmother says she got upset after Wohler kissed Sandra on the lips at the community swimming pool.
Explaining why he kissed the girl, Wohler said he was "being friendly and nice. It's kind of my nature. And I haven't talked to her since. I've seen her around the park, but that's it." He went on to say, "A little kiss that happened on the lips. That's all."
This is was taken from the local newsclip on page 12 of this thread...
Anyone else noticed MANY inconsistencies in this guys statement to the reporter? First states he had "no clue" who the girl is, then immediately after states that she was a "friend" who would come by his house and property to help him water, THEN immediately states he hasn't spoken to her since the kissing incident two years prior????

He gives me a bad feeling. I'm going to go snoop on him. I'll let you all know if I find anything interesting. (Don't worry, I won't use his full name)
EDITOR,
It’s too bad for the young student who misspelled the word "cravat" at the Tracy Unified School District spelling bee. In English, it is spelled that way. In France, it would be "cravate," which comes from the Croat word "kravata."
Many European languages use this term for "necktie." If the word "crevant" were used, no accent would be necessary. Oh, well, thank goodness for spell-check!
Frank Wohler, Tracy
lol Kat! you go girl!
I am soooo hoping we do not end up needing a spotlite case thread for this. I hope LE can solve this soon........
