Who knows whose bra it was? Living in a fairly large urban area, and having walked a dog daily on a several mile long park path through a wooded area, I'll just say in my experience there is nothing surprising or unusual about finding very very personal items discarded where anyone can (yuck) come across them.

But this isn't a "on any given day you can come across all kinds of things" scenario. The same day a woman goes missing while running in a pink top, they find a matching pink sports bra right there close by. And it looks like it hasn't been there long.

That's a lot different from walking down your trail and finding a woman's undergarment with no missing person to match it to.

Getting silly here, but whew & geez that the most intimate thing I ever stumbled across in my walks was a clean & newly disposed of bra....:D

Where it's folded is narrow. Do regular bras have linings? I just have no reference. I don't think Mrs. Stele has any like that, LOL

Do regular bras have lining is rather a loaded question, lol. Depends on what any given woman wants/needs to achieve with her bra, and that covers a pretty wide spectrum, from utilitarian support to a desire to impress. ;)

On the one hand, it wouldn't seem to match up with the narrative of two women grabbing her. But on the other hand, if I'm going willingly but want it to look like I didn't, it's the best choice. The only other options are either the outer top or outer bottom. Both would be a problem to not have on a long trip if you need to use the restroom or are stopped in traffic with a car right next to you.

True. But the narrative may have been created later. I'm not sure.

It's more rural than urban, and has no paths or sidewalks. It doesn't look heavily travelled. The clothing looked newly discarded and matched her jogging outfit exactly.

*Loaded* hehe... then I went huh. Sherri is rather gifted in that respect. How big is an evidence marker? Looks like an elm leaf next to it.

ETA:
Each marker is 3.5" wide and 3" tall. Made of durable plastic and stackable for compact, easy storage.

Not sure why you always bring out the devil's advocate/contrarian in me, but there it is, and I've no doubt at all you can hold your own. ;)

Another reason might be, if the bra is even SP's, that her captors began humiliating her immediately to exert control over her, and that telling SP to take off her bra was one of those steps.

I love it. The discussion is what it's all about. I love to hear your opinions or arguments. They're good!

And I'm also playing devil's advocate a lot.

I don’t have much to add to this thread other than my family does the family sharing as well with Apple. When I log into find my iPhone I see myself, my hubby, and my two daughters. I use this much more than find my friends because I think it’s more accurate.

That said we all know each other’s passwords too so being on family share wouldn’t be necessary for me to locate my husband or kids. Prior to the family share option (not sure when it started) we needed each others passwords to watch stuff on iPads/Apple TVs etc.

I also use this daily. When my kids leave in the morning I check on find my iPhone a few minutes later to make sure they arrived at school okay. Mainly because this is the first year I have a child driving.....at the end of the day around 5 or so I check and see if my husband has left work yet if I hadn’t heard from him via text yet. I do this as a habit now I guess- I don’t have any reason to try and catch my hubby in doing anything...just throwing that out there that people who aren’t suspicious might use the find my iPhone frequently. I use it a lot LOL

One more thing I wanted to point out about the 7 minutes from the time of the video to her being found is that dozens of motorists called 911 about a person on the side of the highway. That is an awful lot of people passing by and willing to call 911 in a short period of time.

I agree with you map location, although I think probably she didn’t go that far south and just went through the grass to the freeway. I don’t ever recall reading about “dozens” of 911 calls by motorists. I’ve driven this section of freeway. At 4pm there’d be a couple hundared of cars going by in 7 mins; at 4am I doubt less than 20 would be on the road.

To say SP wasn't sexually assaulted doesn't mean she didn't have sex during her disappearance though.

It was Thanksgiving morning so there was tons of traffic and yes, dozen's called 911.

Sutton said she pulled off the highway and called 911. Dozens of other drivers also called 911 on Sherri’s behalf.

I'm very confused. I could have sworn the photo of evidence #3 was of a black latex glove with pink evidence tape around it (to help it stand out from the grass/dirt). Wasn't this previously discussed? Not seeing a sports bra (inside out or not) at all.

Blown up I can see the threads, seems, and gosh that fancy pink design. The strip at the top looks to me like part of the tie, like a swimsuit top.
I guess people see what they want.

In the video at the link I provided, 2 officers are standing near it and there is some other pink item further back - A much larger pink area than this item. Too far away to make it out.

I can't tell the difference. It had been over a month by then though.

Tricia stated in the latest Websleuths Radio that the male DNA was found on a jacket given to Sherri by her captors. From the media thread a woman stated it looked to be a shirt over her head. A pillow case would be a handy thing to throw over someone's head, or a flour sack, or since the captors were hispanic then maybe a masa sack? :dunno:

I suppose the hose clamps could have been fastened over her clothing. It would be very painful to have them fastened to her wrists and ankles and I would think they would definitely cut into her skin. But would kidnappers care if they cut into her skin? I don't think so. It would help to keep her still probably.

Anybody else think there are some mental health issues involved in this case? Bipolar? Depression? Manic?

I feel really bad for the children.
I dont believe kidnappers give jackets away to their victims, but it shows compassion or possibly something else.

Didn’t LE say she was wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants? I never heard about a jacket.

Hi bears! We are at that point in a case where lines and info blur, yes? It's maddening.
Nice to meet you.
