This IS odd.
IMO I would NEVER promise my children anything like that.
"Last week he promised their two children, Tyler four and Violet, two, that 'mommy' would be home by Thanksgiving."
This is NOT odd
IMO
"It turns out Keith had been told she was okay hours before and he even beat the sheriffs down to where she was found."

*KP beat the Sheriff's from Redding
to where she was with the
Sheriff's in Yolo is how I read this.
He did not go to the side of the road with SP.

BBM. What? Come on, guys. I keep starting to write and then backing up because nothing I can say expresses how bizarre that statements is to me right now.
O/T but just ask. Many peoples here have big hearts. Don't be scared to ask for help, here or anywhere else... My heart and mind is with you...... just remember to ask.:heartbeat:
I agree! I was thinking about that. Women are very reluctant to reach out but women are also very ready to help each other out. We take care of each other and there are so many ladies on websleuths.
A friend of mine told me that she had been hospitalized with the flu, years back, after trying to deal with her illness and care for her small boys. She had moved to TX and I'm in CA. I told her I wish she had let friends know what was going on because many of us wouldv'e flown out to care for her and her kids. But women are caretakers. We don;t ask for help for ourselves.

Thank you. There is zero reason to disbelieve that she was found with injuries indicating she had been beaten. And bound. Regardless of anything.
BBM - That is my fundamental problem. The Sheriff asked the public's help to find "two hispanic women in a dark SUV" which is incredibly vague and can lead to unnecessary profiling and harassment. He hasn't followed up with more details since then. He's even stated that the captors being hispanic is based on SP's voice recognition. I am strongly of the opinion that he should of held off asking the public's help until he had more specific details to give.
100% agreed. So irresponsible and unfair and dangerous. Such a release of vague ad limited info could create more problems than help. I'm already seeing fingers pointed at "illegals".
What I don't understand besides my first 20 questions about this entire case, is why haven't the police, FBI or the family come out to the media asking for any drivers that may have been driving from 3am-4:30am who could have possibly seen anything! Begging for help from the public to please think back! I sadly still can't wrap my head around all this...... this may be an episode for black mirror.
The only reason i could think of would be they have surveillance already? Or witness statements already?
I wondered if the arrest in Anderson on Monday is connected to SP's release. If the report of the 2 women is correct, I still suspect there are more people involved. With the attention SP's case had garnered, the abductors may have realized LE was hot on their trail with Acosta's arrest. If the reported sighting in Anderson on the 12th was SP, she could've been heavily drugged. It is very common for traffickers to drug (and beat) their victims into submission within the first few weeks to break them. This could also explain why she didn't see her children right away (though physically and emotionally, the delay is completely understandable). The Shasta Co. Sheriff logs showed they had a 12 hour day on the case after receiving the call she'd been found, which also must've been taxing on SP.

Are you thinking of a situation in which women who are sort of followers of some predator, who have been trained or convinced or excited to do his bidding, kidnapped her for him? That kind of thing? I;m really trying hard to come up with a logical scenario here.
No mention of a blindfold while she was by the road flagging down help. The woman did say she looked scared though.
How do you suppose the kidnapper made sure she couldn't see her while she was dropping her off?
Just trying to picture the scene/sequence of events.
After the left she could've reached up, even if chained or bound, and somehow pushed the blindfold down or off?
I really wasn't trying to debate that she had or hadn't been beaten! I was trying to suggest we don't state either as fact as neither piece of information has been released as fact.
I meant it's subjective which report you choose to believe; that paper saying it's been privy to a police report, or the witness.
Apologies; it wasn't meant to turn into such a debate.
I understand. But it;s really absolutely not subjective what we decide to accept as fact. A media report of a person claiming to be a witness who, even if she was, did not stop, but was driving by in the dark at 4:30 a.m., or a media report of an official CHP dispatch call. We have the actual call now too. So there's no debate, really. Oddness? Oh yeah. But I have zero doubt that this woman was found with injuries indicating she had been beaten and was bound.
