If her scent ends at the driveway, how does that tell her mom that she walked to the bus stop?
http://www.kron.com/Article.aspx?ArticleID=3472The mother of 15-year old Sierra Lamar is asking people who drive by the bus stop where her daughter disappeared last Friday for help in finding the missing teen.
KRON 4's Will Tran spoke with Marlene Lamar, who showed up along with her boyfriend, at Palm and Daugherty to hand out fliers to commuters with her daughter's picture.
"I'm asking if they saw anything during this time period because this is the time period when she usually catches the bus," Marlene Lamar told Will. "She's the only one at this particular bus stop so I'm hoping that they remember something suspicious or out of the ordinary if they frequently come through this area to go to work then maybe they'll remember."
A teen cheerleader, 15, mysteriously vanishes on her way to school. Her cell phone just found in a field about a ½ mile from her home – the phone seemingly tossed from a car window. Why was the phone found in the opposite direction from the teen girl’s home as her bus stop? Where is Sierra Lamar?
And dad lives in the same building as another SO.Orrr....what about her dad's friends??? Either way, those would be some people whom she would have known in a peripheral way, long enough for one to fixate on her, and long enough to possibly trust for a ride to school or a ride somewhere.
If you do a Google Streetview walk-about, you will quickly see that Sierra's Home is on a dead-end street.
The Monterey Highway is right there, along with railroad tracks, I believe. They are located further past the dead end road.
If Sierra's trail went cold at her driveway, as per SAR Dogs, then that is really, really odd.
She lived on a dead-end street! Why would a vehicle be in there? There wasn't anywhere else to go??????
*****There are only a maximum of 10 homes that she had to walk past, in order to get to her bus stop, which was NOT VERY FAR AWAY AT ALL!!!*****
Anyone following this case should click on my map with the 3 locations above, click on her home marker, drop the little orange guy onto the map marker, and google walk to the bus stop. NOT FAR!!! This would be a 5 to 10 minute walk, maximum, I would think.
Wow.
Investigators are poring over computer and cellphone records of a missing California girl in their search for the teen who was last seen early Friday walking to a school bus stop.
Authorities on Monday said they found the cellphone belonging to 15-year-old Sierra LaMar in a field not far from her home in Morgan Hill, Calif., about 25 miles south of San Jose in Santa Clara County.
Fox affiliate KTVU-TV reported Tuesday that police are now examining the phone, as well as the girl's laptop computer, for any clues into her whereabouts.
"We have confirmed that cellphone does belong to Sierra, so we're doing some forensics on that cellphone, trying to get any information we can off that cellphone, as well as her laptop," Santa Clara County Sheriff's Sgt. Jose Cardoza told the station.
in the video we see Mom passing out fliers with boyfried. His name is Rick, according to another article. But still no last name of him.
This news article cleared the time line a bit for me so I thought I would post it. I am sorry if it is a re post.

"Lamar says her daughter wakes up at about 6:00 a.m. most days to get ready for school but doesn't leave the house until about 7:15, in plenty of time to walk in daylight to the bus stop. She says police have told her tracking dogs find Sierra' scent ends at the driveway of the family home.
She says many regular commuters have seen Sierra waiting for the bus in the past.
"They're telling me that they've seen her at the bus stop a lot," Lamar said. "They (police) said something about the scent stopping at the driveway. That tells me she did walk to the bus stop."
Police have said they're treating this as a missing person's case but Marlene Lamar says it's looking more likely that her daughter was abducted."
thanks for the info. This news article cleared the time line a bit for me so I thought I would post it. I am sorry if it is a re post.

I heard on the news just this morning that she logged on to her laptop at 6:25 and then logged off at 6:30. That she left for school at 6:30. Has that information been reported as incorrect and corrected to the timeline above? tia

Investigators listed the search as a new detail in their search for Sierra Lamar, who has not been seen since leaving for school last Friday.
Sheriff's investigators said they will also conduct more interviews with Sierra's friends. They said the interviews on Monday did not reveal any useful information.

If it is true that she left for school at 6:30 a.m., per the news, then that is about 45 minutes earlier than when her mother said she usually leaves to get the bus for school. (See video where she is handing out fliers on bus stop intersection.)
