All GOOD questions, PMLsmom.
Mom's BF????
Just to rule out individuals, I would think this would be addressed.

Whenever I see "mom's boyfriend", the alarm bells go off.

I don't think it's wrong to say that those tweets from a 15 yr. old girl are disgusting! Not just a few bad words here and there....they were vulgar. If a parent decides to allow a 15 yr. old to have a facebook acct,, twitter, etc. then for gosh sakes check what they are saying and to whom!! It's not that difficult. If mom or dad had seen those tweets and found nothing wrong, then this little girl was not being parented. How many times do we have to hear of young girls meeting predators online before parents wake up?? I pray she is safe and her parents will be given another chance to teach their little girl what is acceptable and what isn't. :twocents:

I'm a parent of an older teen and the one thing I've never said anything about was vulgarity use with her friends. She's a honors student, involved in several levels at the school (including being very involved in an anti drug program), she works, and runs a volunteer program through the school that matches at risk students with lonely nursing home residents, she has a decent boyfriend, etc. One of her recent posts on facebook is "Could the M*F* who keyed my car be so kind as to bend over and F* yourself? K thanx. "

Not nice. But it gave her a quick outlet for her anger that someone had violated her and it's over. No harm no foul. She's well parented (I'm WAY more involved then any of her friends parents are). But yes, I let her use swear words when dealing with her friends / peers. Some battles are worth fighting ... THAT is not one to me.

That is what I think happened. It also might have been an older group of 'friends.' She was new to the neighborhood, so she may not have known who to stay away from.

Good insights..MOO But, I do believe it is significant that the timeline for that morning is being left hazy. We do not know who was in the house after her mother left for work.( If anyone. )

I wonder if it is possible that someone (an adult) who knew the morning routine of the house --especially as to when her mother would have left the house -- stopped by that morning, and offered Sierra a ride to school ? There would be no record (phone call or text, email,) of such a visit.

It is the phone that makes me think this was not kids . Tossing the phone very soon after she left the house is not good...MOO

Ditto. I'm surprised his name hasn't been published or his face shown/interviewed.

Also, what about the BF's friends?

Here are a bunch of answers confirmed.

Fox affiliate KTVU-TV reported Tuesday that police are now examining the phone, as well as the girl's laptop computer, for any clues into her whereabouts.

Desperate search for Sierra Lamar

"We have confirmed that cellphone does belong to Sierra, so we're doing some forensics on that cellphone, trying to get any information we can off that cellphone, as well as her laptop," Santa Clara County Sheriff's Sgt. Jose Cardoza told the station.

Padilla made an announcement to the school Monday morning before their brunch break. Freshman student Crystalina Amato, 15, said one of Sierra’s friends at Sobrato, Rochelle, broke down crying during the announcement.

“I would see her around school. She’s always smiling,” said Amato Monday afternoon.
She said one friend claims she saw Sierra in San Jose, with the same Juicy Couture brand purse and brown boots, looking paranoid. She reported it to investigators who were on campus Monday.

Junior Diamond Davis, 16, said Sierra hangs out with his group of friends.
“She’s an overall nice person, always talking,” said Davis. “All day (Monday), its been pretty bad.”

Is the location of the phone, the reason why it was stated in another article that the phone is believed to have been tossed from a car????

I think so:

LaMar’s cell phone, a Droid smartphone, was found Saturday night in a field on the northeast side of the intersection of Scheller Avenue and Santa Teresa Boulevard, about 20 feet from the side of the road, Santa Clara County sheriff’s Lt. Troy Smith said.

Article Referencing Recovery Location of Cell Phone:

LaMar’s cell phone, a Droid smartphone, was found Saturday night in a field on the northeast side of the intersection of Scheller Avenue and Santa Teresa Boulevard, about 20 feet from the side of the road, Santa Clara County sheriff’s Lt. Troy Smith said. That spot is in the opposite direction from which LaMar usually walks to catch a Morgan Hill Unified school bus to go to Sobrato each morning.

Her bus stop is near the intersection of Palm and Dougherty avenues, just south of her home on Paquita Espana Court. Her cell phone was found northwest of her residence, about three-quarters of a mile away from the home.

Cardoza added police have exhausted all search and rescue efforts that are typical in the immediate aftermath of such disappearances, including tracking dogs and foot-based searches of the foothills and other areas surrounding LaMar’s home.

IMO I think there is a huge gap between venting with foul language and posting soft 🤬🤬🤬🤬, suicidal lyrics, and vague sexual references on OPEN twitter and tumbler pages. That alone worries me for this incredibly beautiful girl.

I think there are all sorts of options here, stalking, mom's BF, mom's BF's friends, friends of Dad, an ex... I hope that mall sighting is accurate, unfortunately I don't think it is. MOO

I so agree...the events of the morning Sierra went missing seem to not be addressed in detail. Who was there during the whole morning? Times of leaving? The whole Who, What When Where, and Why? of that morning.
And I can't stop wondering about Mom's BF!

The more this glaringly absent information is NOT mentioned...the more it raises my hinky meter!
BF's friends is something I had not thought of before. Good question.

two questions from this article:
1.) WHEN did the friend supposedly see Sierra with her Juicy brand purse, looking confused, in San Jose..this past weekend? Or when?

2.) Did Sierra's sister come home from spring break AFTER Sierra went missing...or was she in Morgan Hill at the time Sierra went missing? Was the sister back for spring break, but staying elsewhere (like with a friend, etc.)?

Orrr....what about her dad's friends??? Either way, those would be some people whom she would have known in a peripheral way, long enough for one to fixate on her, and long enough to possibly trust for a ride to school or a ride somewhere.

If you do a Google Streetview walk-about, you will quickly see that Sierra's Home is on a dead-end street.

The Monterey Highway is right there, along with railroad tracks, I believe. They are located further past the dead end road.

If Sierra's trail went cold at her driveway, as per SAR Dogs, then that is really, really odd.

She lived on a dead-end street! Why would a vehicle be in there? There wasn't anywhere else to go??????

*****There are only a maximum of 10 homes that she had to walk past, in order to get to her bus stop, which was NOT VERY FAR AWAY AT ALL!!!*****

Anyone following this case should click on my map with the 3 locations above, click on her home marker, drop the little orange guy onto the map marker, and google walk to the bus stop. NOT FAR!!! This would be a 5 to 10 minute walk, maximum, I would think.

Wow.

This news article cleared the time line a bit for me so I thought I would post it. I am sorry if it is a re post.

http://www.kron4.com/Article.aspx?ArticleID=3472

"Lamar says her daughter wakes up at about 6:00 a.m. most days to get ready for school but doesn't leave the house until about 7:15, in plenty of time to walk in daylight to the bus stop. She says police have told her tracking dogs find Sierra' scent ends at the driveway of the family home.

She says many regular commuters have seen Sierra waiting for the bus in the past.

"They're telling me that they've seen her at the bus stop a lot," Lamar said. "They (police) said something about the scent stopping at the driveway. That tells me she did walk to the bus stop."

Police have said they're treating this as a missing person's case but Marlene Lamar says it's looking more likely that her daughter was abducted."
