I believe that the bag and books were placed behind cactus, because it was an attempt to get them out of the vehicle, but also out of remorse. I see no staging in that. I believe they just got them out of the vehicle so they weren't caught.

After committing crimes, it is not unusual for a perpetrator to make himself coffee or do very calculated, calm things. Especially a seasoned perpetrator. He will be less wild, less stupid. He will be more calculated in his moves.

The fact that she has changed her clothing (probably) is a blessing in disguise, because maybe she was taken to his home and changed from her original clothing as part of control over her. Perhaps she's not deceased, and we are looking at another Cameron Hooker or another guy like the sick perv and his wife who abducted Jaycee Dugard.

I know the statistics. The statistics say what was written here earlier, but they also say that it is most likely someone the child knows, or is familiar with, who they trust.

I think it's a neighbor or someone nearby. I'm sticking to that until I change my mind.

The days of good reporting and the written word are over. They don't use quotes anymore (think twitter, lol) seriously, I have seen things quoted that were over a year old. The reporter inferred in happend the day prior.

For me to read an article now, I have to pull apart every word and punctuation and it doesn't help much at all. Our country and good use of the English language have parted ways, I'm afraid.

That's ridiculous.

There should be some standard agnecies for journalism.

Are his comments about actually making a hair appt. in quote marks, lol? I know you're a stickler for quote marks, as proof that the person is being directly quoted, as opposed to the reporters coming to their own conclusions.

We've all read that he had a conversation on Thursday evening with Sierra about a hair appt.

IMO, the above snippets aren't necessarily proof that he got on the horn Thursday night immediately after hanging up with Sierra & made a hair appt. Huffington Post is notorious for circulating innaccurate information, especially in this case. Did a Huff-Po reporter speak directly to Steve, or did that reporter copy/paste/extrapolate from other articles?

Here's what I don't doubt: when Sierra was reported missing Friday @ about 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. Friday March 16, Steve had been contacted by Marlene prior to reporting her missing, to rule out the possibility that perhaps Sierra was with her father.

I think the hair appt. was made after Sierra went missing, because her father thought she might have run away from home, and he was hoping it would provide an inducement for her to her return.

Her dad and sister were on TV talking about what SL wanted done with her hair at HER favorite salon in Fremont. I heard them talking about it and DAD made the appt. and discussed it on TV for the weekend after she went poof. Her dad was made fun of for making a hair appt ... like how would a dad know that ...hahahaha. Go back and read thread #1 and Hinky, etc.

Believe what you want. It suits some sort of "agenda", I suppose and just a guess by me. I don't have an agenda. I just link and post and give live videos that lots can't/won't listen to. I do understand no speakers at home and some are at work and can't listen because their boss will know they aren't working for the $/job they are being paid to do. I get it. We all try to understand as best we can with our own mindset.

Night. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully SL will be found. I so hope and pray for that.

I just read the articles you posted a page over where he referred to hightlights as a "dye job".

Is it STILL your contention that Dad made the appointments for 21 year old Danielle and her sister, Sierra?

Why would he if Danielle is right there and available to make the appointment?
She certainly would know better who to talk to, which salon, and what they wanted done than he.

I absolutely think that Sorrell Skye and Imkeylime have made a very good analysis and motivation for the statements he made to the media.
Whereas he could make the dance/cheer lessons possible, Danielle could not.
He threw the hair appointment in for good measure.
I just think he spoke out of turn and didn't want to back off those statements and got in a little deeper.

But, it is not as if at the time anyone was thinking, there's no way she'd runaway and miss this hair appointment! That is in a way, the connotation that statement was being relayed at the time he made them and Klaas made them, though.

No one is saying anyone is lying. I have no idea upon what basis that accusation is founded.

The question is: when was the hair appt. actually scheduled? IMO, I don't think any of us here have yet arrived @ a definitive conclusion.

Wanting to make a hair appt. and talking about a hair appt. and actually scheduling a hair appt. are 3 different things.

Furthermore, these 3 different things are NOT evidence that Sierra had made any definite plans for Friday March 16 after school - or for Saturday March 17 or for Sunday March 18, as far as that goes.

To date, none of us have learned of any plans regarding exactly when Sierra was going to be in Fremont, according to what has been reported by her various family members in MSM interviews.

"The next time she went to Fremont" is about as vague as it gets, IMO, and is not indicative of any concrete plans.

IMO, the hair appt. was scheduled after Sierra went missing, in the belief that she may have run away from home & in an effort to entice her to return home. This will be my opinion until I am provided with proof to lead me to believe otherwise.

I can understand that. And I do agree.
Except we do not know the circumstance for her "not cheering anymore".
It could very well have been she did these things around the house.
Unless, she WANTED to quit because she thought it was lame.
Or was made to quit, as some sort of punishment.

I can see where a case could be made that this too, was a message to her to
try to "fix" things, because it was the easier thought to deal with, that she had run away.

But, as has been stated by another poster very well, it may be an insight into the dynamics, it does not tell us what was going on in her life the Friday and weekend she disappeared. Saturday being St.Patrick's Day.

I hope this new abduction is not related to Sierra. Most likely not, because they are of different ages, however keep in mind skin color, hair, etc. Sierra was 15, but very petite from her photos. She could have resembled a smaller, younger child imo.

As far as I'm concerned, it provides some insight into the family dynamics.

I'm a mom of 2 daughters from a previous marriage. My daughters have always relied upon me (not their bio dad) to provide everything for them - including hair appts. (due to the fact that I've always had a good relationship with my daughters, despite our occasional mother-daughter conflicts).

IMO, the fact that Sierra was asking her dad to schedule her hair appt. for her is what is relevant here - less so than when the actual appt. may or may not have been made.
