Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community I will look on my map and check the area although I have been in Uvas a few times. Lots of homes on these dead end roads that you see on the map and fences that limit access. BUT, if I can go there then I assume he could have. I will cross fences and check. Although that may be illegal. I do go ask the property owner and not one yet has refused to allow me to look.
Always ask if possible.

Great dialogue here in the past couple days. I'm still holding to the theory she is in Uvas, or another body of water since he is such a big "fisherman". Something about burying the remains sounds too respectful for this miscreant.

poor Sierra- I had so hoped she would be found by now. I fear her abductor has buried her in an out of the way location, maybe in a wooded area, perhaps close to one of the bodies of water that have so interested LE. I wonder how many of AG's acquaintances own land or have access to uninhabited tracts...that may be totally unaware that he could have be creeping around..........

I keep wondering if AGT buried her body, too.

If I am right about his psychology, I think he did not start out with the intention to kill her. I think he may have attempted to rape her and discovered that he was impotent in the situation (not uncommon for rapists to be impotent in the situation) and killed her in a fit of rage. I think that as soon as it was over, AGT reverted to being the "good son" again and buried her body in a shallow grave to literally cover up his actions.

Of course, the same thinking could also have led him into putting her in water, if he had access (a bridge or a boat).

I've been a lurker on websleauths for awhile and following a couple cases including Sierra's. and I finally just made an account last week but have been shy to post.

This case has been driving me crazy and I really hope they find Sierra soon. When is AGTs trial? I tried googling but for some reason couldn't find it? I'm dying to know what other evidence LE has against AGT and I hope that creep pays for what he did and gets locked up away from society.

I believe he'll be in court around the end of the month- not sure where I read that. Don't be shy to post :D
It really is driving me mad as well. He doesn't appear to be the most intelligent alleged murderer around so why in the world have they not found her body? They have done extensive searches in the water. How has she been missing so long?

Bless you for trying, roses. Without people like you, there would be very little hope of recovery at all.

What you described is not unusual for search parties. When an experienced search coordinator maps out what areas have been searched, they indicate what type of search it was.

The most thorough searches are those that have the searchers on their hands and knees, shoulder to shoulder, crawling slowly over the given territory and flagging anything that does not belong to the natural environment. As I'm sure you can imagine, such searches are very slow and very hard on the searchers. Nice as it would be to carry out every search that way, it just isn't practical.

It's understood that foot searches are not as thorough and that there's often an attitude of "let's get'er done here." Whoever is doing the mapping will take that into consideration when they plot out where to send the next set of searchers.

That's why it's not unusual for a given area to be searched more than once.

I wish someone would make a tape for volunteer searchers to watch before searching for the first time. The tape would be about 15 to 20 minutes long and would show just how easily something the size of a human body can be hidden in various types of environments. And at the end, it would show bones in various states of exposure because people tend to think of bones as always being white (they're not).

In my ideal world, the cost of making the tape would be funded by nonprofits and would be distributed free to any LE or search organisation that requested it. It would be professionally produced and shot in HD, so that it would look as realistic as possible.

Actually, in my ideal world, there would be 4 or 5 versions of the tape, showing different environments. That way, when a search is needed, the coordinator could request the tape(s) that fit the environment to be searched.

Great idea, as other posters have said.

Many of us remember Dr. Vass and the "Body Farm" in Tennessee, where cadavers are what they actually study...If I'm correct, almost ALL they study, in addition to the various chemicals produced at different stages of decomp AND under a multitude of different circumstances.
I've seen some footage on the "true crime" shows....maybe they have a more "complete" version for educational purposes???

ETA: Just one of the MANY articals written about it. Dr. Arpad Vass does much of the research into chemicals bodies emit. As Dr. Bass is getting on in years and has taken on a more supervisory/informational role, researchers have been trained to take on his role.

AND, GrainneDhu, either you're psycic, or, someone in LE is reading your posts and following your suggestions....

The presentation from the coroner’s office was excruciating for many of our team members. A crash course in the recognition of human remains became a reality check for those clinging to the hope of locating Sierra alive.

I hope I'm not being a broken record here, but, I think we may be in agreement that AGT deposited Sierra's body on the same day she went missing, no??
We KNOW that LE has far more evidence than we've seen or heard about.

IMO:

I believe LE got some info the first few days BEFORE he realized he was being watched....what they got from that, who knows.

LE most likely has info as to when he RETURNED from his "fishing" expedition that day.

LE probably has his cell phone records AND, the "pings" (HOPEFULLY). The searches seem to be staying in the surrounding areas, IF, in fact he did not hide Sierra in a body of H2O, the "pings" probably showed he didn't leave that vicinity.

Again, IMO, I don't think he understands the whole "follow the phone pings" thing (HOPEFULLY), I'm thinking he threw Sierra's phone out because she was trying to get help. This gives me hope that there ARE, in fact, pings for LE to evaluate and they're not just flying by the seat of their pants in their searches, and, again, maybe the pings are why there are land searches, as well.

An investigator with the Santa Clara County Sexual Crimes Unit told KCBS that a judge ordered 51-year-old Genaro Garcia Fernandez to stand trial on charges he molested his daughter over a nine-year period.
Garcia Fernandez was taken into custody last July after his daughter came forward and said she was molested numerous times, starting in 1990 when she was five-years-old.
She said the molestations continued until she was 14-years old.
The young woman is the sister of Antolin Garcia-Torres, who was arrested earlier this year and charged with LaMar’s kidnapping and murder.

A family tradition ? Definitely learned behavior if nothing else. mo.

I recall a neighbor who lived at the bottom of her street say there was an hispanic guy who walked back and forth in front of his house for weeks. His House was on Dougherty. He said the guy was pacing and talking on his cell all the time. He woulld look up the street. He had not seen him since Sierra went missing.

He told me his dog jumped the guy once and he got a good look at him. Of course, we will never know if it was AGT or a farm worker searching for a ride.

Sorry, way behind in reading - but maybe this guy will be a witness - and it IS AGT that he saw... :please:

Something many people don't seem to understand is that witnessing abuse is child abuse.

Also, it's not uncommon in families where siblings are abused for each individual to believe they were the only one being abused.

I am wondering about this boys motivations.

I am wondering about HIS relationship with his father.

I am wondering if he was upset with his sister over her accusation against the father.

I am wondering if he ever witnessed his father and his sister.

I am wondering if he attacked Sierra with a purpose. To get next to his father ? :jail: Is that possible ?

It has little or nothing to do with finding Sierra. BUT I am wondering.

This morning I was on the back side of Anderson reservoir and came across a 55 gallon drum !! My heart jumped.. It was empty. :banghead:

Anyways..Tomarrow is another search day.

Let us hope that Sierra will soon be found by somebody and returned to her loved ones so that they know where she is.

I doubt it had to do with his father, other than maybe learning about violence against women in the home, perhaps. And perhaps learning not to leave a living witness.

SBM

When I had been married to my first husband for over 12 years, his mother "came out" as an alcoholic. She'd been a secret alcoholic for over 25 years, maybe longer. My father-in-law, her husband, knew but none of their four children knew their mother was an alcoholic, had never knowingly witnessed her drunk, etc. She was very high functioning, had a responsible job, kept her house beautifully, conducted an extensive social life and was active in their church, etc. Outside of her husband, no one ever dreamed she was an alcoholic.

And yet the entire family dynamic fit neatly into the typical pattern for the families of alcoholics. There was a good son, a hero son, a court jester, a black sheep.

It was downright spooky to see (somewhat from the outside) how one person's well hidden alcoholism had shaped her entire family.

I doubt AGT ever witnessed his father abusing his sister but witnessing isn't necessary for the other children in the home to inherit unhealthy, dysfunctional emotional development. It isn't like someone who molests children in secret is magically a healthy, emotionally stable person outside of that one area.

Have we heard anymore about his behavior in prison? I recall hearing he was plugging toilets and causing floods in the jail. I have seen this behavior and it never seems to come from inmates that are intelligent. He is acting out...throwing a temper tantrum. Inmates who behave like this cause problems inside. I would like to know what his behavior is at this point as a fully expect more acting out. He is in for a rough ride with some solitary ahead of him.

I will suggest he has mental health issues and explosive temper. When he calms down, which is pretty fast, I assume, he will be calm as if he took a tranquilizer..fully regretting his actions...till the next time.

http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/local/south_bay&id=8733195 This ABC News report fills in some details regarding the history between Genaro Garcia Fernandez and his daughter. His adamant denials as the assaults continued over years are of interest. Antolin Garcia-Torres exerts himself to deny before his family any wrongdoing in our case. Apparently G. G.-F. has reversed himself.
