Where did he get the rope from

Sent from my XT1064 using Tapatalk

Excellent question - no mention made about that, or if rope was new or old. If old, then could have had for sometime. But if new, then where did it come from, and that might lead to other items being purchased...

So this guy will be without shackles at one point and they think/know he murdered a teenage girl?

The request was submitted by the Alternate Public Defender's Office in order for the defendant to be assessed by a mental health clinician. My assumption is for the need to have hands free to complete psychomotor testing. If that's the case, a psychiatrist or psychologist would perform such testing, IME.

Justifiable? Perhaps.

Dangerous nonetheless.

:twocents.

Is this LE's "last search"?

I can't imagine the Sierra Search Team suspending their efforts indefinitely.

They always said they would continue on until she is found. Genuinely

If the locals' hypothesis that the earthly remains ended up in a dumpster is accurate, then the remains would be in the Morgan Hill landfill. Interestingly enough, the way a landfill works, the gases actually *preserve* things. Of course it would be near impossible to search the landfill, but I sure wish it weren't.

I still think there is a way to exact pressure and "negotiate" with the Perp to get him to reveal the whereabouts of her remains. He's counting on no body/no conviction. Ain't gonna happen. There is too much evidence that links this guy to the crime, and that is why the Defense Attorney keeps getting trial dates pushed out. He needs more time to prepare. There won't be enough time in the world for this case. He's going down....in more ways than one, IMO.

Family says it has searched all viable areas. An on-call group ready to respond to new leads this is the reason

And I just felt my heart drop.
Dear Sierra...

Absolutely heartbreaking to read the title of that article. 3 years. In my mind I think, "Wow, it's really been 3 years? I've been following this case for 3 years?" Then I think about how hard those 3 years have been for Sierra's family. Heartbreaking.

Sad about the searching being stopped.... as for getting him to say something, maybe better if he doesn't because so often thugs will come up things about the victim going off willingly, or that what happened was an accident, etc...
To me, that he is not volunteering on his own to say something, speaks of his guilt.

Fat chance anyone would believe that with them being total strangers with no prior contact and the rope evidence. Also Sierra was fifteen, a minor. If he cops an 'accident', he still has to tell what he did with her.

My thought has been that he put her into a dumpster. The searching began pretty much the next day, but a supermarket dumpster would be picked up much more often.

Sad that searching has stopped, but not surprising. It would have taken its emotional toll for sure.

I just saw the news that the search has been suspended. Rest in peace, Sierra...I am so, so sorry. :rose:

Of course I agree, but just giving a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 a platform to tell lies bothers me.

 in the rule-of-three I go on about, I mention how thugs seem to instinctively alternate - leaving something of the victim on land (for example), while leaving the victim in water -- well, it just occurs to me that leaving her couture purse outside in the field, while actually leaving her in the supermarket would match this kind of alternation.
Too bad the supermarket wasn't IIRC checked with cadaver dogs.
